Suddenly, a sharp, electrifying pain shot through his temples. The sensation was agonizingly familiar.
Sienna watched him, her voice softening. "What is it? Did you remember something?"
Jorrod steadied himself, shaking his head slightly. "No. Do you like him?"
Sienna blinked, stunned for a second. "Are you kidding? Look how young he is..."
Jorrod's gaze darkened. "He's good-looking, and he's..." Young.
"I'm stressed enough dealing with you every day. Where would I find the energy to date anyone else?" Sienna pulled the court summons out of her bag and tossed it onto the coffee table. "Look at this. The great Mr. Vaughn's original lawsuit against me. Demanding I show up to court."
In truth, Sienna knew the current Jorrod had nothing to do with this. Complaining to him was pointless.
She also knew she had been incredibly reckless back then.
But the frustration was suffocating her.
Venting about it brought a sliver of comfort.
Jorrod picked up the paper and read it. He had absolutely no memory of anything he had supposedly done. Absorbing the words only made the splitting headache worse.
He thought of the young man from earlier. Hearing his voice had triggered a violent, chaotic storm in his mind.
Jorrod hid it flawlessly, clenching his fists tight to suppress the pain.
"What do I need to do to make you let go of your anger? To make you happy?"
Sienna plopped down on the sofa next to him. "What could you possibly do? How about you magically get your memory back right now, so I can scream at you for real?"
"Okay," Jorrod agreed. "How did I used to speak? Teach me."
Sienna slowly turned her head.
She met his intense, unwavering dark eyes.
"I'll play Jorrod Vaughn. Pretend I've recovered my memory and punish me. Just like you wanted to before."
The punishment she had mentioned last time.
First, she had to tie his hands.

Alcohol ruined everything.
But it was a fantastic stress reliever.
Sienna felt like she wasn't drunk enough.
What the hell was wrong with his memory?
He needed to demand answers.
At the very least, he couldn't just stay holed up in this woman's apartment anymore.
"Sienna Quinn." Jorrod's tone was dead flat, devoid of any emotion. His entire body felt incredibly heavy, as if lead weights were crushing his limbs.
He tried to sit up, only to realize in shock that the familiar silk tie was secured around his wrists...
It wasn't that he felt heavy. It was that he was securely, genuinely tied to this strange bed like a criminal.
He violently thrashed against the bindings.
They didn't budge.
The friction left angry red marks on his wrists. The only sound was the faint creak of the wooden bedframe.
In an instant, cold realization shattered the lingering haze in his mind. He stiffly turned his neck to look at the edge of the bed.
He... was tied up.
