Jorrod's POV
Early stage: Amnesiac subjected to aggressive affection.
Late stage: Aggressive affection is still affection, otherwise why didn't she aggressively pursue someone else?
——————————————
Sienna Quinn couldn't shake the feeling that something was off with Jorrod Vaughn tonight.
She couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was, but the shift was palpable.
Normally, he was like an insatiable predator, and she was the captive prey at his absolute mercy.
But tonight, he treated her like a fragile, priceless treasure he was terrified of losing.
He kissed her with a slow, lingering devotion, his touch unbearably gentle.
The sensation was so agonizingly sluggish, like a feather brushing lightly against her heart, stirring up an unbearable, tingling itch.
The more he dragged it out, keeping her on the edge, the more desperate she became.
For Jorrod, the waves of pleasure violently clashed with the splitting agony in his skull.
Barely fifteen minutes later, the pain surged back with a vengeance.
His vision blurred.
Could a headache affect eyesight? He had no idea.
He only realized that he was losing focus on the face branded into his very soul.
He couldn't see her features clearly.
He couldn't read her expression.
He couldn't even see the tears gathering in her eyes, born from the frustration of his agonizingly slow pace...
Panic seized him, and he kissed the woman beneath him, desperately trying to wipe away the frosted glass blurring his vision.
In vain, he kept whispering her name. "Sienna..."
Sienna.
Sienna...
Sienna Quinn.
"Hello, Mr. Vaughn. I'm Sienna Quinn."
"What does it matter if it's real or fake? If I say we're involved, then we're involved."
"It's uncomfortable, isn't it?"
"If no one ever taught you manners, then I suppose you'll just have to remember today."
The woman's voice echoed in his ears like a relentless carousel of memories.
Jorrod closed his eyes.
"Jorrod..." she pleaded, her voice thick and nasal as she grabbed his arm.
"Jorrod?"
He muttered his own name, his gaze devoid of warmth, before a mocking smirk twisted his lips. "What exactly do you want Jorrod for?"
How was she supposed to answer that?
Sienna stayed silent, her beautiful brows knitting together as she looked at him.
She realized she was crying. She didn't know why, but it felt less like physical discomfort and more like an involuntary, physiological response.
Warm tears rolled down her flushed cheeks.
Jorrod frowned, instinctively raising his hand to wipe them away.
But as he glanced down at the moisture on his fingertips, a sarcastic smile curled his lips.
"Why the pathetic look? I haven't even done anything yet. What are you crying for?"
He found it laughable.
He was the one who had been manipulated and coerced, yet here she was, shedding crocodile tears and playing the victim.
Jorrod leaned down, his grip tightening ruthlessly around her jaw.
He stared into her misty, beautiful eyes, seeing nothing but his own reflection.
His thin lips curved into a cruel smirk as he breathed wicked words against her ear. "Or... are you crying because I'm not giving it to you?"
