I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 169

"Jorrod, you know who he is! You called him Grandpa! Say it again!"

A heavy silence fell over the room.

Noticing everyone staring at him like he was an absolute idiot, Silas reigned himself in. He leaned close to Jorrod's ear and whispered frantically.

"Jorrod, did you get your memories back?"

Jorrod ignored the question entirely. He shifted until he found a comfortable position leaning against the headboard. Once settled, he shot Silas a cool, detached look and stated flatly, "What is the current status of Stellaris Corp? Did you bring your laptop?"

The joyful relief on Theodore's face vanished instantly.

Crossing his arms, his expression hardened as he let out an annoyed huff and sat back down.

Silas was completely helpless. "I came here to visit you in the hospital. Why would I bring my laptop? Here, just use my phone for now."

Theodore scowled the entire time as he watched his grandson take the phone and immediately start scrolling through Stellaris Corp's corporate emails with a completely blank expression.

He finally couldn't hold it in. "Jorrod, put Stellaris on hold. You and your uncle need to—"

Theodore was interrupted by a knock on the door.

Theron leaned in and murmured, "Dad, the doctor is here."

The doctor walked over, checked the vitals on the monitor, and flipped through the chart.

He pulled out a penlight and checked both of Jorrod's pupils.

Clicking the light off, the doctor gave a nonchalant nod. "He's fine. Everything looks good. All his vitals are exactly as we predicted. He can be discharged shortly."

Theron quickly stopped him. "That's it? Doctor, he still looks incredibly weak. Shouldn't we keep him for observation?"

"No need," the doctor replied bluntly. "Anyone who sleeps for two straight days is going to feel weak. He just needs to move around a bit."

"Also, the family shouldn't panic about the coma. It was essentially his body initiating an emergency shutdown to reboot his neural system. It was a successful reset, which is a very good thing."
