I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 180

Elara Vance had been drowning in overtime for the past two days.

Sienna had desperately wanted to tell her about Jorrod's recovery, but seeing her friend running around like a headless chicken, she didn't want to burden her further and kept her mouth shut.

But when her shift finally ended that night, Elara drove straight to the lobby of Stellaris Corp.

"What the hell is going on with Jorrod?! Did he actually dump you?!"

Elara was utterly flabbergasted.

If Silas hadn't tipped her off, she never would have known that Jorrod had not only completely forgotten their passionate romance, but had also ruthlessly discarded Sienna.

Sienna sat in the passenger seat and clicked her seatbelt into place. "Not exactly. He just forgot everything between us."

Well, saying he forgot everything wasn't entirely accurate.

The cruelest irony was that he probably vividly remembered the part where she fought him off.

Elara scrutinized her friend from head to toe. Seeing that Sienna's complexion was normal and her eyes showed zero signs of crying, she let out a massive sigh of relief.

Sienna asked Elara to drop her off at the dumpling restaurant.

Elara figured that being around her parents was infinitely better than letting her rot alone in an apartment.

Without a second thought, she slammed on the gas and drove her straight there.

George and Lillian were thrilled to see the two girls and absolutely insisted Elara stay for dinner.

Unable to refuse the older couple's aggressive hospitality, Elara caved, staying for the entire meal before finally saying goodbye to her friend.

She hammered the point home before she left, "I'm heading out, but if you need to talk, you call me immediately, understand?"

Sienna acted exactly as she always did.

Smiling and assuring her that she was perfectly fine and not to worry.

Since their daughter was home, the restaurant closed early. The whole family huddled around the living room sofa, watching the evening dramas together.

Tucked into the corner of the couch, Sienna finally began running through the real reason she had come back.

Watching her parents' beaming faces,

she agonized over her words, trying desperately to figure out how to break the news without completely crushing them.

Surprisingly, her father broached the subject first.

"Did Jorrod eat those dumplings we dropped off? How were they? Did he mention your mom's incredible cooking?"

It was the perfect opening.

Sienna seized the moment. "Dad, don't send him food anymore."

"Why? Did he not like them? I specifically made him two different flavors!"

"We broke up."

George's smile instantly evaporated, and he whipped around to stare at her.

"Broke up?! Why?! Just because I didn't give him my blessing? Honestly, I was going to tell you today that—"
