I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 199

Jorrod slicked his dark hair back, revealing his sharp, handsome features as water droplets clung to his brow and the bridge of his nose.

Wiping the moisture from his face, he suddenly realized he had left his bathrobe outside.

He turned his head, instinctively looking toward the door.

The bathroom was separated by frosted glass. Through the dense, swirling steam, he caught sight of a dark silhouette moving around in his bedroom.

Wesley was the only person allowed in here.

Jorrod turned off the water.

The bathroom plunged into total silence.

His deep, resonant voice echoed out like a ghost, striking right into Sienna's ears.

"Bring me my robe."

Sienna looked down at herself.

She had almost walked out wearing his bathrobe.

She quickly shucked it off, planning to just toss it on the foot of the bed, but noticed the bathroom door was already cracking open. Warm, white steam poured through the gap.

Through the sliver of space, she saw a wet, slightly veiny hand grip the doorframe, about to push it wide open. She even caught a glimpse of a bare, muscular calf stepping forward...

Sienna's heart completely skipped a beat. In absolute panic, she reacted on pure instinct.

She hurled the heavy bathrobe forward, launching the entire bundled fabric straight into Jorrod's face.

She bolted so fast she didn't stick around to see the man take a direct hit, plunging him into darkness as he stood there, completely stunned and disoriented.

He just froze.

Sienna practically sprinted down the stairs, urgently pleading with Susan and Stella to never, ever mention she was here today.

Susan tried to stop her. "Ms. Quinn, wait, your things..."

Sienna was frantic. "Another day, another day! Or honestly, if you guys like any of it, just keep it!"

"Oh, right! Please apologize to Wesley for me, I'll buy him dinner to make up for it..." Sienna added, rushing back briefly to drop the message before sprinting out the door.

Susan and Stella were left staring at each other in utter confusion.

Why would she need to apologize to Wesley?

"I'm going to die..." For the first time in her life, Sienna practically wailed in the driver's seat. "Why the hell was he showering in the middle of the day?!"

Elara was silent for a few seconds. "I-It's actually not that bad. Just treat it like a funny prank video."

Sienna buried her head against the steering wheel, still venting. "You don't understand. In that chat, besides today's embarrassing video, there are tons of voice notes of me sweet-talking him..."

And even worse...

"There's also the video of our first night together..."

Elara's jaw hit the floor. "Y-You guys were into that kind of stuff?!"

Sienna sounded utterly drained, too exhausted to even lift her head. "No, we weren't. I was just really drunk and completely out of my mind..."

Elara was at a loss for words. A thousand thoughts raced through her mind, but she ultimately just sighed, offering a gentle comfort. "Maybe he already deleted it while he was sick? Just try to stay positive."

Since the damage was already done, stressing over it wouldn't change anything. Comforted by her friend, Sienna let out a heavy sigh and finally lifted her head.

She was right. It was just a fleeting moment in the past—what was the point of holding onto it? Was he really going to sit there and critique her performance?

"Whatever. So what if I was sweet-talking him? It's not like he doesn't know we dated. I don't care anymore, it is what it is..."
