Sienna didn't waste a single second.
After securing her time off, she drove straight to Jorrod's villa.
Inside the sprawling estate, Susan spotted Sienna from a distance. Overjoyed, she immediately dropped her chores and hurried over to open the gates.
Seeing her, Stella's face lit up. "Ms. Quinn? Did you guys make up?"
Sienna hopped out of the car and jogged inside, panting slightly to catch her breath.
She paused for a second and waved them off. "No, definitely not. I'm just here to grab some of my things."
Stella looked visibly disappointed.
But she quickly perked up again. "That's okay. I packed all your belongings safely away. They're all stored in the closet in mine and Susan's room, just waiting for whenever you wanted them back."
Sienna let out a massive sigh of relief and thanked them profusely.
True to Stella's word, all her items were neatly organized inside storage bins in the closet.
Except for the most important thing...
"Stella, have you seen a phone anywhere?" Sienna crouched down, twisting her head to look up at the maid. "White edges, clear case, and there should be a polaroid of me tucked into the back."
Stella furrowed her brows, thinking hard.
She shook her head. "I'm positive I haven't seen it. If I'd found a phone, I would have set it aside separately."
If it wasn't here, it had to still be in Jorrod's bedroom.
Sienna stood up, thanked Stella again, and marched upstairs.
She pushed open the heavy double doors to Jorrod's room.
A faint, elegant scent of crisp cedar immediately washed over her.
The bedroom was immaculate. The bedsheets were perfectly smooth, devoid of any trace that she had ever lived there. Without her belongings, the expansive, muted space looked even tidier and far more desolate.
Sienna did a rapid visual sweep and started tearing through the room.
Not on the desk, not in the drawers, not under the pillows.
After searching frantically, she came up completely empty-handed.
Pulling out her own phone, she dialed the number.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed from the hallway, followed by Stella's intentionally loud, warning voice.
"Mr. Vaughn! You're home so early today! Wesley already tidied up the bedroom this morning..."
Sienna closed her eyes in pure despair.
A heavy wave of total resignation washed over her. She just let out a defeated, utterly broken chuckle at her own horrific luck.
She swore to God.
If Jorrod caught her under here looking like this, she would march straight to Stellaris Corp and hang herself from the front gates tomorrow morning.
Thankfully, fate spared her. Jorrod pushed open the bedroom doors and walked straight into the adjoining master bathroom, completely oblivious to her presence.
Once the steady sound of running water echoed from the shower.
Sienna finally managed to wriggle her way out from under the bed.
She shoved the phone into her pocket. While he was occupied, she had to make a run for it.
Inside the bathroom, thick steam billowed through the air as hot water cascaded over his broad shoulders, tracing the sharp, defined lines of his jaw.
