I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 203

"I heard you had a meeting with my brother a few days ago."

His deep voice cut through the air.

Sienna froze.

She slowly shifted her gaze back to Jorrod's face.

Jorrod wasn't even looking at her. He kept his head down, casually scrolling through his phone, as if it were just a passing comment.

It was then Sienna realized that the 'flawless' secret meeting Zachary thought he had orchestrated was actually completely transparent to the man sitting in front of her.

After staring at him for a moment, she let out a dry laugh. "Who I choose to see is my business. What does that have to do with you? What, am I not allowed to talk to him? Do I need to buy a ticket to speak to a Vaughn?"

Jorrod had been sitting in a state of utter relaxation the entire time.

But the second those words left Sienna's mouth.

The look in the man's eyes turned instantly freezing.

He looked up, his voice chillingly calm. "Who you see is indeed your business. But if you're plotting to ruin my life, claiming it has nothing to do with me is crossing the line, don't you think?"

So he had eavesdropped—and he had only heard half the story.

Hearing the accusatory tone in his voice, Sienna let out a sharp, mocking laugh. "Fine. Since you already know my agenda, then you should stay the hell away from me."

"Consider this a friendly warning," Jorrod said. "Whatever deal you struck with him, you'd best drop it. Stay away from him, and stop wasting your time on me."

Sienna absolutely despised being lectured, especially by her ex-boyfriend.

Especially an ex-boyfriend whose memory had been entirely factory-reset.

"Mind your own damn business. If you don't want to waste time, then you can start by paying me back for my ruined bed."

Sienna just said it to be petty; she didn't actually expect him to agree.

But to her surprise, Jorrod gave a slight nod. "Fine. I'll have my assistant handle the transfer. You'll have it within the week."

"Hold on a second." Sienna immediately pulled out her phone, quickly opened the voice recorder app, and slid it toward him. "I need this on the record. You have a terrible habit of forgetting things. If you magically develop amnesia again tomorrow, who am I supposed to complain to?"

Jorrod looked down, his gaze turning icy as he stared at the fluctuating audio waves on her screen.

But in reality, combing through his fractured memories—including the entire night their bodies had been hopelessly intertwined—he hadn't kissed her once.

If he really forced himself to find a moment, the closest thing was when he had been tied up, and Sienna had initiated a kiss that ended with him biting her lip. A fleeting touch of softness, immediately replaced by the metallic taste of blood.

His gaze shifted slightly.

He looked at the corner of her mouth, where he had bitten her.

The skin was smooth and radiant, showing absolutely no sign of a past wound.

His eyes darkened. In the quiet air, filled only with the elegant piano melody, Jorrod finally spoke.

"Before I go, there's one personal matter I want to clarify about our past."

Sienna didn't even look up. "Aside from the issue with the bed, we have no personal matters to discuss."

His predatory, pitch-black eyes locked onto her, and in the heavy silence, his lips parted. He spoke with a slow, agonizing deliberation.

"How far did we go in our relationship?"
