Sienna snapped her head up.
Her face went completely blank, staring at him in stunned silence for several seconds.
Making sure she hadn't misheard him, she immediately stood up, snatched her phone from the table, stopped the recording, and shoved it safely into her purse.
Once that was secured, she glared at him, her voice dripping with ice. "Don't you think asking a question like that is completely out of line?"
"Is it?" Jorrod didn't seem to think so. "I was half of that relationship. I have every right to know."
When she refused to answer, his intense gaze remained locked on her face, thoroughly enjoying her visibly tense expression. "Or better yet... did we even kiss?"
Sienna blurted out, "I refuse to answer that."
Jorrod nodded slowly. "Understood."
"What else?" he continued. "Did we sl—"
"Jorrod Vaughn!" Sienna abruptly slammed her hands on the table, her eyes blazing with absolute fury. "No! No! No! Do you hear me? We never kissed, and we definitely never..."
She paused for a split second, then snapped with hardened resolve, "Let me make this perfectly clear: we never crossed any lines. Period!"
Faced with her explosive, defensive outrage, Jorrod merely smiled. He raised an eyebrow and countered, "So you're telling me that for months, we lived under the same roof, slept in the exact same bed as a man and a woman, and maintained a strictly Platonic relationship?"
"Believe whatever the hell you want! I don't owe you an explanation!" Sienna whipped around and flagged down a waiter.
When the sharply dressed server rushed over with the menu, Sienna ripped it open and began aggressively jabbing her finger at the pages.
"I want everything on this page, this page, and this page! One of everything! And he is paying the bill!"
Having made her grand exit statement, she snatched up her purse and stormed out of the restaurant.
Leaving the waiter standing there, utterly bewildered.
It took a few moments for the server to pick her jaw off the floor before she hesitantly turned to Jorrod. "S-Sir... do you still want the order?"
Jorrod offered a faint smirk. "Yes."
Seeing the insulated bags in their hands, she gasped in shock. "Are these for me?"
The manager leading the team nodded. "Mr. Vaughn provided us with your phone number and address."
Liana's face split into a massive grin, and she nearly jumped for joy.
What did this mean? It meant her plan had worked!
This luxurious feast was obviously a reward for her excellent matchmaking skills—a bribe to keep his favorite little sister happy!
Liana happily ushered them in, telling them they could just leave the bags by the door and didn't need to bother with shoe covers to plate the food inside.
However, after setting the food down, the staff made no move to leave.
Liana looked confused.
That was when the manager pulled out a receipt, his tone completely professional. "Here's the situation, Ms. Lowell. Mr. Vaughn only covered the deposit. The remaining balance is to be paid by you upon delivery."
