After the dinner, Sienna still had plans to meet up with Elara Vance.
Since parking over there was a nightmare, and she was already exhausted, she just called a cab the moment she stepped out.
Sitting in the backseat, she still couldn't stop grumbling about Jorrod's phone call.
She had to give him credit for his promptness, but his tone was completely stiff, making it sound less like he was returning something and more like he was shaking her down for a debt.
The moment she tried to protest, he had hung up, leaving her with a dead dial tone.
Afraid he would change his mind, Sienna had no choice but to ditch her dinner and rush to the company.
By now, it was past clock-out time, so the office was mostly empty.
Mindy Monroe was just grabbing her bag to leave.
As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she spotted Sienna, whom she hadn't seen in days.
Sienna had styled her soft, beautiful hair into loose curls that cascaded over her shoulders. She wore a light purple dress, layered simply with a soft, cream-colored fuzzy cardigan, making her look incredibly elegant and sweet.
Elara had bought this outfit for Sienna as a birthday gift a few days ago. Knowing she had plans later, Sienna decided to wear it out to show her friend.
Her casual effort left Mindy staring in absolute awe for a moment.
Sienna was usually in a button-down shirt and jeans at the office. Mindy had never seen her looking like this before.
She walked over in amazement, lightly patting Sienna's fluffy shoulder. "Wow, you look stunning! Are you going on a date later?"
Sienna waved off the question as she stepped into the elevator. "Just meeting a good friend."
Mindy followed her in, her eyes practically glued to her as she reached out to twirl a strand of her voluminous hair.
Her original plan was to accompany Sienna to grab her things and leave together.
But then she watched her colleague press the button for the top floor.
"...You're going to Mr. Vaughn's office?"
"Yeah," Sienna didn't deny it, completely open about it. "My stuff is with him."
Mindy quickly pieced it together. Sienna had seemingly gone on the business trip with the boss recently. She assumed Assistant Jenkins must have mixed up their luggage by mistake.
Mindy swiftly pressed the button for the nearest floor.
Going up there?
