I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 235

As he stepped out of the car, the driver was still utterly bewildered by his boss's sudden mood swing.

Watching him stare at his phone expressionlessly for the whole ride, he had assumed the man was dealing with a tough work crisis.

How did his face turn that dark the exact moment he got out? He looked like a storm cloud ready to burst, acting like he had just suffered some devastating blow.

The driver sighed.

It must be a major delay in one of his projects; the low efficiency was probably getting under the boss's skin.

Thank goodness his only job was to drive, sparing him from all that chaotic corporate drama...

-

Before he had even fully stepped out of the car, Jorrod had scrubbed the video from the phone completely. He marched upstairs without breaking his stride, headed straight to the bedroom, yanked open the nightstand drawer, and tossed it inside.

That little phone, which had only just seen the light of day, was once again banished to the dark cell.

A long time after Jorrod had returned home.

Stella was still covertly trying to read her boss's expression.

His sharp, cold jawline was one thing, but she couldn't shake the feeling that a heavy, dark gloom hung over him, making his expression look downright terrifying.

Just as she was spiraling into anxiety over whether Wesley was about to be fired...

Jorrod suddenly called the young man's name, summoning him to the third floor.

It sounded like a death sentence. Stella's heart leaped into her throat as she nervously paced circles in the foyer downstairs.

She waited and prayed, finally spotting her colleague slowly ambling down the staircase.

She rushed forward frantically. "How did it go? Was Mr. Vaughn mad? What did he say to you?"

Even though Sienna was just his ex-girlfriend... she had still lived in this villa. Having designs on her was an absolute no-go. If Stella were Mr. Vaughn, she would have been furious.

Yet Wesley simply stared at her blankly and shook his head.

"He wasn't mad. Mr. Vaughn actually gave me a gift."

"Huh?"

Wesley reached into the shopping bag he was holding and pulled out a bottle of exquisite cologne.

"Mr. Vaughn said he thought this scent would suit a guy, and since he noticed I rarely use this sort of thing, he just grabbed it for me."
