I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 238

The three friends exchanged bewildered looks. Seeing a cute girl sobbing pathetically in front of them hit a soft spot. They were immune to threats, but guilt-tripping worked.

Harvey was the first to stand up. He just couldn't handle seeing a woman cry.

Their good mood was completely ruined. Sienna lost all desire to sit there and keep fighting.

But the moment they stepped out the door, Harvey cursed. "Damn it. I just saw her muttering that we were being difficult."

Elara spun around, ready to march right back inside.

Sienna grabbed her arm.

"What?"

Sienna held up her phone screen for both of them to see. "I recorded that manager being incredibly rude and already forwarded it to a few media outlets. Give it about five minutes. She won't even have a spot by the restroom soon."

"Wait, what?"

Elara stared in disbelief. "How did you know to hit record?"

Sienna shrugged. "I don't know. It just felt like muscle memory."

Recently, Sienna noticed that Jorrod seemed to be avoiding her. Not hiding, exactly, but deliberately keeping his distance.

It was an absurd conclusion to draw.

But after running into him over and over again, the pattern was undeniable.

They didn't cross paths often, but working in the same building meant occasional run-ins were inevitable. Out of professional courtesy around their colleagues, she would always politely address him as "Mr. Vaughn."

Lately, however, Jorrod had been flat-out ignoring her. It was the kind of dismissal where he didn't even bother to look in her direction.
