I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 274

He let out a cold scoff at the empty hallway.

Barely an adult, and already trying to steal another man's woman.

"If I'm not mistaken, this is your fourth visit this week."

Dr. Jacqueline Shaw didn't look up, her eyes scanning his medical chart as she flipped a page.

"Yes."

Sitting across from her, Jorrod's tone was impeccably flat.

She finally looked up, adjusting her glasses. "I warned you, Jorrod. Twice a week, maximum. It's only Friday, and you've already doubled your scheduled sessions."

She clearly remembered how he had initially brushed off the treatment, claiming he was far too busy for therapy.

Jorrod stated plainly. "It's horribly inefficient."

"I know efficiency dictates your corporate life," Jacqueline said gently, "but your brain doesn't operate like a hostile takeover. Working harder doesn't speed up recovery. Pushing past the limit is dangerous."

"Look." She angled her monitor toward him. "Your brain is already protesting the strain. Rebuilding memories is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to coax it back gently, not carpet-bomb it with aggressive stimulation."

Jorrod's brow furrowed. "Will I ever get them back?"

"Yes," Jacqueline affirmed. "But not if you keep trying to force it. Push too hard, and you might cause irreversible damage."
