A wave of cold sweat washed over her. Just a moment ago, she had been so frustrated that she nearly grabbed a pair of scissors and cut the damn thing off.
Now brimming with confidence, Sienna lowered her head, only to freeze when her line of sight caught something else. Immediately, a deep crimson flush spread from her cheeks all the way to her ears, turning her entire body the color of a boiled lobster.
Sporting a bright red face, Sienna refused to look up at him, forcing herself to turn her head and stare intensely at the floor.
Her voice squeezed out from between her clenched teeth. "You... are not allowed to react..."
The voice from above sounded noticeably hoarse, thick with unbearable, seductive tension, yet his actual words remained completely innocent. "What do you mean, react?"
Sienna squeezed her eyes shut and took a massive, shuddering breath. "Don't... get excited."
When her words were met with silence, she lifted her eyes and shot him a glance.
The eyes peering down at her were slightly narrowed, unimaginably dark and predatory, yet incongruously mixed with absolute confusion.
Having no choice but to rephrase, Sienna threw caution to the wind and pointed straight at it. "Here! The pants! You are not allowed to let it pitch a tent!"
She was genuinely counting her blessings.
Thank God Jorrod was currently an idiot.
No matter how profoundly offensive her words were, he wouldn't realize she was completely abandoning all decency.
But the bad news was, Jorrod was equally lacking in decency.
Recalling how Sienna had checked the wound on his forehead earlier, he said, "But I can't control it... Darling, it feels really uncomfortable. Did I get hurt down there too? Can you check it for me?"
Sienna's face flushed an explosive shade of red as she ground her teeth. "I'll check your head!"
To make matters worse, the man towering above her was incredibly inquisitive. "W-what head?"
"...Go to... hell..."
For a split second, Sienna truly wished she could just drop dead right then and there in the early autumn air.
Fortunately, the metal buckle popped open with a crisp click, resurrecting her from the dead.
Instantly feeling like a massive weight had been lifted off her shoulders, Sienna swiftly yanked it free, swearing to never let him wear this damn thing ever again.
Another three seconds of dead silence ensued.
"Jorrod, you... just do your business..."
Dropping that single sentence, Sienna feigned perfect composure, stood up swiftly, marched out of the bathroom, and slammed the door shut—all in one fluid, seamless motion.
Sitting on the living room sofa, she thoroughly explained the entire situation from start to finish.
She repeatedly drilled into her friend's head that he absolutely could not leak a single word of this to her parents.
Harvey rubbed his chin, pondering for a long time. "Oh, so he's the big shot CEO of Stellaris Corp, huh? And he can't even unbuckle his own belt? Sounds like he's not even as smart as me. If that's the bar, I could run a multi-billion dollar company too."
Sienna glared at him. "Run a company, my ass. He's sick. If it were you, let alone unbuckling a belt, you'd be sitting there drooling with a crooked mouth."
Harvey completely ignored his friend's jab and extended his hand. "Where's the phone?"
Sienna leaned over, opened the drawer, and placed the phone securely into her friend's palm.
