I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 302

It wasn't just old flames reigniting.

It was a completely fresh start.

Once again, body and soul, completely and utterly.

He had fallen hard.

-

That afternoon.

Sienna took a quick leave of absence from her manager, grabbing her ID and heading to the nearby carrier store to run an errand.

"Hi, I lost my phone. Can I get a replacement SIM card?"

The employee asked for her ID. "Do you want a new number or the original one? The old SIM will be permanently deactivated. It should take about fifteen minutes."

Sienna nodded.

The process was incredibly fast. Barely half an hour later, the employee handed her a receipt to sign, along with the fresh SIM card.

"Thank you."

Sienna sat down in the waiting area and pulled out her spare device. She smoothly popped the card in and opened the messaging app.

Logging into the account on a new device took a moment. The loading icon spun lazily before finally bringing up the main screen.

The chat list was entirely blank, save for her own profile pinned to the very top. The nickname was still set to "Sienna," but it was now followed by a string of numbers—her birthday.

She couldn't quite remember, but she was fairly certain that date hadn't been there before.

Had Jorrod added it later?

Beyond that, the saved favorites folder was full of her old voice notes and goofy selfies, along with a newly created folder of links.

She tapped on a few randomly. They were all roughly the same: high-level medical journals and articles focusing on memory loss and cognitive recovery.

The save dates showed they had been updated as recently as a few days ago.

Sienna didn't want to think about it anymore. Without a second of hesitation, she deleted the account entirely.

-

Jorrod didn't have to wait until nightfall to find out.

He had brought the white phone to the office with him, leaving it resting on his desk.
