I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 322

"A living, breathing person just vanishes? How the hell were you watching him?!"

The hospital staff apologized profusely. "We are so sorry, Mr. Vaughn. We didn't want to disturb the patient's rest... Furthermore, he wasn't wearing a hospital gown, and with the crowds right now, he just..."

Theodore Vaughn was practically breathing fire. "So after all that, it's our fault? Find him!"

"If my grandson isn't found, this hospital can pack up and close its doors!"

Silas was there too. He glanced toward the door, frowning as he pulled his gaze back.

Sienna walked up beside him, naturally lowering her voice in the tense atmosphere. "How did he just disappear?"

Silas sighed heavily. "The patriarch went upstairs for a bit tonight, leaving the caretakers in charge. Seeing Jorrod asleep, they stepped out to use the restroom. By the time they came back, the blankets were thrown aside and he was gone."

"Theron Vaughn is having his people check the security footage and search everywhere, but it's pitch black outside and there are blind spots on the route... Ugh."

They waited anxiously in the hospital room for updates.

An hour later, Theron still hadn't found him.

Neither of them could sit still any longer.

Silas turned, deciding to drive back. He suggested Sienna check her place as well, just in case Jorrod had somehow found his way to her neighborhood again.

It was a sudden wake-up call.

Sienna turned and bolted.

She drove recklessly fast and practically sprinted up the stairs to her floor.

The hallway was completely empty. Not a single soul in sight.

Sienna immediately rushed back downstairs and began searching the neighborhood, circling it over and over.

After her futile efforts, she slumped onto a park bench, sitting in absolute silence, lost in her own thoughts.

"No luck."

Sienna looked up as Silas sighed and sat down next to her. "I really have no idea where he could have gone. We've combed the whole area. The longer this takes, the harder it will be."
