He remembered every interaction between them over the past few days.
Sienna said, "We had an agreement. Did you recall the memories from when we were dating?"
At that topic, Jorrod's eyes flickered. His Adam's apple bobbed, and he chose to remain silent.
"Looks like you didn't."
Sienna asked on purpose.
In fact, when Silas visited her house, she already knew about Jorrod's recovery.
After Jorrod's accident, when she brought him home, she bought a portable camera that same day. She had heard their entire conversation on her phone.
So when Silas brought it up, she wasn't surprised.
Sienna turned to walk into the room. She hadn't recovered from the cold draft earlier and just planned to grab a cardigan.
But at her familiar turn-and-leave motion, Jorrod frowned and abruptly grabbed her wrist, stopping her from walking away.
The woman's face was extremely aloof, vastly different from how she treated him when he was sick.
An entire night of intimacy, the intermittent moans of his name that filled his heart to the brim—all of it vanished cleanly with just one calm, temperatureless look from her.
Sienna turned her head and looked up at him.
Jorrod took a step toward her. "He's very suitable, but whatever he can give you, I can too, and I guarantee it will be more than double."
Sienna frowned, confused.
"Who?"
The man before her had a tight expression, parting his lips to reveal the answer.
"Julian Lennox."
Sienna's eyelid twitched.
She finally realized that this guy thought Julian was her new boyfriend.
Julian had just arrived, and as his family, Sienna naturally helped him out a lot, like looking at apartments. Whenever she had free time, she went with him.
Thinking about it now, if it weren't for their blood ties, it really would be easy to misunderstand.
"Are you still stalking me?"
"Liana ran into you two."
Sienna's lips twitched, suddenly wanting to laugh.
She had no intention of explaining and even threw it back at him. "You know about this, yet you still come to me asking to be together? Aren't you just trying to steal someone's girl?"
It was a mocking reprimand.
Jorrod, who once looked down on Nathaniel Yale the most, had ironically become a replica of him today, perhaps even worse.
