I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 362

In other words, she had no idea he was even capable of grasping the concept of good behavior.

Jorrod leaned over, his upper body practically resting against her leg. His large hand covered hers, his long fingers threading through hers and locking tight. "I scolded your shameless ex-boyfriend who was clearly punching above his weight. I did that for you."

Sienna's lips twitched.

He said that as if he hadn't also been her ex-boyfriend at one point.

She couldn't even be bothered to call him out on his petty, underlying jealousy.

"Hmm?" Jorrod lifted her hand, pressing his lips against her fingers. The soft, wet sound of his kisses echoed intimately in the quiet cabin of the car.

"Leave the discipline to me, and don't talk to him. You just need to focus on me. Scold me, look only at me. Deal?"

Sienna used to think Jorrod was clingy purely because his amnesia left him feeling insecure.

Now she realized that wasn't the case at all.

Being incredibly needy was just his natural state when he was in love.

The only difference was that one version of him was an innocent, clingy puppy, while the other was a wicked, predatory wolf.

Who could have ever imagined that this arrogant man, whose ego once reached the stratosphere, would now follow her around like a lost shadow?

Still, thinking back to their first reunion left a bitter taste in her mouth.

Sienna glanced down at him and scoffed, "I wouldn't dare. Scold you? I'd be terrified of getting sued by a certain someone."

The man chuckled. A low, rumbling laugh rolled from his throat, dripping with undeniable indulgence. He sat up, pulled his phone from his pocket, and deftly opened the voice memo app.

Sienna listened as he solemnly recorded a vow, right there in the app.

When he finished, he didn't stop the recording. His palm cupped her cheek, his dark eyes thick and intense as ink. Staring deeply at her, he suddenly leaned in and captured her lips.

"Jorrod..."

"Shh, let's seal the promise first."

Jorrod had been holding back for days, and now he kissed her with zero restraint.

Before long, Sienna felt completely deprived of oxygen. The weak resistance of her hands pressing against his shoulders melted away, her fingers curling into his suit jacket just to anchor herself.
