Still, Sienna had to ask, "Wait, the wrong size can cause issues too?"
"Yeah. If it's too small, it's extremely prone to tearing. If it's too big, it slips off."
Sienna made a mental note of that. Her friend was a married woman with plenty of practical experience, after all.
Once they wrapped up that topic, Kelsey moved on to other news.
She grabbed Sienna's arm. "Oh, by the way, did you know? Those thugs on the twentieth floor finally moved out a few days ago."
The twentieth floor was occupied by a shady debt collection agency.
Their employees were a bunch of aggressive, terrifying men who constantly roamed the halls. Their lease had expired ages ago, and the landlord had tried repeatedly to reason with them politely. They completely ignored him, turning their violent debt-collector attitudes on him instead. Even after the police were called multiple times to mediate, the agency remained arrogant and refused to budge.
Though Sienna and Kelsey found them repulsive, they were far enough away that it wasn't a direct threat. Still, their departure was nothing but fantastic news.
"How did that happen so suddenly?"
"I heard from the upstairs neighbors that someone finally taught them a lesson. They scurried out of here with their tails between their legs, practically fleeing. They didn't even pack all their stuff." Kelsey looked intrigued. "I wonder which guardian angel stepped up to take out the trash."
Jorrod's name instantly flashed through Sienna's mind.
A few days ago, while they were chatting about the studio preparations, she had casually mentioned the issue to him.
It had just been an offhand complaint, and she hadn't even been sure he was paying attention.
Kelsey continued, "Also, I heard the building management and security systems are getting a complete overhaul. And that commercial street nearby? Word is they just secured major new investments and are completely restructuring their leasing options. We're insanely lucky."
Lucky? Sienna wasn't so sure about that.
But considering how Jorrod had been working himself to the bone lately, she was one hundred percent certain this was all his doing.
They had made a private agreement.
This studio was her first independent venture outside the corporate world. Jorrod promised he wouldn't interfere or pull strings, allowing her to experience the journey—smooth or rocky—from start to finish.
