I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 367

Jorrod remained silent for a long time. His embrace was crushing, as if he were desperately trying to fuse her body into his own.

Standing like that without any real support was exhausting.

Soon, fatigue washed over Sienna. She poked his arm and softened her voice. "What's wrong?"

"Sienna," Jorrod breathed, his voice thick with a raspy, undeniable choke. "Don't go. Don't throw me away."

Sienna paused, her mind immediately jumping to the half-packed suitcase sitting in the living room.

"I'm not. I told you, I'm just going out of town to study. I'll be back soon."

It was as if his arms had a mind of their own. With those few words, his grip tightened securely once again.

Whatever calm, collected facade he possessed, whatever composed mask of indifference he usually wore—it all shattered into a million pieces the moment it involved her. The dam broke, and the emotions poured out violently.

Sienna patted his back again. "Why aren't you saying anything?"

Jorrod's throat felt tight and raw. The words were suffocating him from the inside, and when he finally spoke, his voice was cracked and desperate.

"You can't... you can't throw me away," he repeated, entirely ignoring her previous explanation.

It sounded like a command, but the delivery was painfully fragile.

"The number for the surgery in your drawer—I'll make time to get it done. I'll raise your child, boy or girl, and treat them as my own. If you want to go public, I'll call the press right now. If you don't, I'll be your secret lover for the rest of my life."

"Please, don't marry him. Don't leave with him..."

Hearing all of this left Sienna completely baffled.

Out of that entire speech, she only understood the very last sentence.

Fine, he still thought she and her cousin were lovers, and that she was running off to elope with him.

But what on earth was this about a surgery number and a child?

"What surgery?" she asked, bewildered.

Jorrod gave her a single word in reply: "Vasectomy."

When Rowena dropped the news about the pregnancy earlier that day, it suddenly clicked for him why Sienna had kept a clinic's number for a sterilization procedure. In her eyes, his ability to get her pregnant was a massive liability.

Sienna's lips twitched. For a second, she genuinely thought she was losing her mind.

"Who... who asked you to get a vasectomy?"
