I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 4

"Then you'll just have to remember today too."

Ha.-

Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Sienna stared at her computer screen, so angry she actually burst out laughing.

Her friend Elara Vance called to ask how things went. When she found out Sienna not only sat on Jorrod's lap but also bit him ruthlessly and threatened him on top of it...

Jorrod was notoriously petty, and Elara's heart leaped into her throat. "A-and then what?"

Sienna was completely serene. "Jorrod doesn't hold grudges overnight."

Elara breathed a sigh of relief.

Sienna continued, "I offended him in the morning, and he sued me by the afternoon. No overnight wait required."

Elara was utterly speechless.

Later, the instigator of this entire mess, Liam Carter, also called her.

Sienna was at work and didn't want to answer.

The phone just kept vibrating endlessly.

She finally took it out to the hallway and answered.

On the other end, Liam sounded furious. He had heard from a colleague that Sienna had gone to see Jorrod.

It was obvious what she went there to do.

Liam immediately started accusing Sienna of being narrow-minded.

He argued that her artwork was now serving Stellaris!

What did it matter if it was under her name or his?

When he eventually made it big, weren't they both going to reap the benefits as a couple?

After Liam finished his rant, Sienna replied calmly, "Did you not read my texts? We're broken up."

Liam froze, completely losing his train of thought.

After a long pause, he frowned. "Are you out of your mind? Is this really necessary? Fine, I won't hold this against you, you..."

Sienna hung up the phone directly, blocking him across every single platform.

He wouldn't hold it against her?

Sienna wanted to laugh out loud.

Laugh at her terrible taste in men, and laugh at how utterly blind she had been.

They had grown up together, their parents were close friends, and yet he used all that history as an excuse to steal her hard work for himself...
