Under Jorrod's shocked and bewildered gaze.
Sienna marched around the desk, grabbed the man's shoulders with the determination of a martyr, and plopped herself directly onto his lap.-
A soft warmth, carrying an unfamiliar, pleasant scent, instantly invaded his senses.
Jorrod's body went completely rigid, his spine stiffening as the veins on the back of his hand bulged against the armrest.
Two rhythmic knocks sounded at the door.
A voice calling "Mr. Vaughn" from outside snapped him back to his senses.
Jorrod's face turned dark as thunder. "Get off!"
Sienna refused to budge.
The veins at his temples pulsed as his strong, capable hands gripped Sienna's waist, prepared to physically lift her off him.
But she had already wrapped her arms tightly around his neck.
She didn't care how hard his hands dug into her waist.
Jorrod ground his teeth. "Do you have a death wish?"
Judging by his tone, Sienna had no doubt he was fully prepared to strangle her.
Meeting his furious gaze, she abruptly pulled his collar aside, lowered her head, and bit down hard on his pale neck.
Jorrod squeezed his eyes shut. "Ugh..."
The sharp inhale mingled with a muffled groan of pain.
Sienna could feel the grip on her waist instantly tighten in retaliation.
"Sienna Quinn!" Jorrod's eyes snapped open, blazing red with fury, as he hissed her name through gritted teeth.
Sienna didn't get up. She merely raised her head, looking down at his wrathful face, finally feeling vindicated.
She kept her voice low. "Truth or lie, it changes nothing, right? If I say we're sleeping together, then we are. After all, the cameras will only ever follow Stellaris, won't they? The people waiting outside are going to absolutely love a juicy scandal like this."
Jorrod stared at her, his eyes narrowing into cold, predatory slits. "You learn fast."
It was definitely not a compliment.
"Doesn't feel so good, does it?" Sienna met his gaze. "If no one taught you basic manners, you'll just have to remember today."
Jorrod didn't reply.
But the icy glare he shot her was terrifying.
