I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 91

Sienna Quinn grabbed the arm of a middle-aged man walking out the main gate. He looked about George Quinn's age, wearing a yellow uniform that suggested he was part of the construction crew inside.

"Excuse me, sir, I wanted to ask... the factory that used to be here... did it relocate?"

The worker tipped his hard hat back and glanced at her. "I have no idea, miss. I just got to Aurelia recently, so I don't know much about the area."

He pointed to a man crouching nearby, smoking. "See that guy? He lives right around here, has for decades. He should know. Go ask him."

Sienna quickly thanked him.

The man squatting by the wall held a cigarette between his fingers. The ember burned down to the filter, and he crushed it out on the concrete. Just as he was about to stand up, a fresh pack of premium cigarettes suddenly appeared in front of his face. It was a luxury brand, costing around twenty bucks a pack, one he could never bring himself to buy.

The man looked up in astonishment to see the young woman smiling warmly at him.

"Here you go, sir. I had these in my car. Enjoy."

The man didn't take it. "Who are you?"

Sienna replied, "Sir, I just wanted to ask you a few questions."

-

Sienna was acting strange.

Very strange.

Mindy Monroe had been stealing glances at her all afternoon.

But every time she asked what was wrong, she was met with a practiced, standard smile and a casual, "Nothing, why?"

Yet, the hatred practically seeping from her eyes was so vicious it looked like she wanted to tear someone to pieces.

"Did you get into another fight with your boyfriend?"

Mindy didn't usually tell people to break up, but with their constant bickering over the last few days... she offered some comfort. "My cousin really is a great catch. I'm not just being blindly confident, but he's definitely more reliable than your current guy."

As soon as she finished speaking, she heard Sienna's voice.

"We broke up. I'm single now."
