I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 98

While Silas bothered Elara, Harvey and Jorrod were thick as thieves on the other side of the room.

Sienna crossed her arms, glaring back and forth between the two men.

"Since when did you two get so close?"

Harvey looked up. "Excellent people naturally gravitate toward each other. Is there a problem with that?"

"You..." Sienna was about to say more when her eyes suddenly locked onto Harvey's wrist.

Right below his rolled-up sleeve, resting perfectly against his wrist bone, was a watch.

A luxury stainless steel watch.

Her memory flashed back to a morning a couple of weeks ago.

It was before she and Jorrod had their massive falling out.

She had woken up wrapped in his arms. Her phone wasn't nearby, so she naturally grabbed the arm draped across her waist to check the time.

Only to find his wrist entirely bare.

That watch, the one Elara had joked cost enough to buy countless million-dollar beds, was nowhere to be seen.

She had asked him where his watch was.

Jorrod just mumbled something vague, saying he took it off.

Sienna narrowed her eyes, putting the pieces together. Factoring in Harvey's bizarrely chummy attitude, a theory suddenly clicked in her brain.

"Harvey! Out here. Now."

"What's your problem? Stop being so bossy," Harvey grumbled, but he smoothed down his shirt and followed Sienna out of the apartment.

They stood in the hallway stairwell, the window cracked open.

The wind was pretty strong, howling through the gap. Harvey leaned against the windowsill, his shirt fluttering in the breeze.

Sienna pulled the corner of her mouth into a highly sarcastic smirk.

With her right hand, she casually grabbed the edge of the black leather belt at her friend's waist.

Harvey jumped in shock, immediately clutching his stomach. "I know I'm handsome, but forced love never works. Don't go sexually harassing me now."

Sienna just laughed again.

"Harvey, Harvey. The belt? The watch? You're quite the con artist, aren't you? What else am I missing here?"

Harvey suddenly remembered.

Oh right, this belt belonged to Jorrod too.

He adjusted his shirt, letting out a guilty, awkward cough.
