Clara was completely frantic now. Her crazed screaming instantly morphed into pathetic begging. "Mrs. Thorne! I was wrong! I was confused, I wasn't thinking straight! I made it all up, and I apologize! I'll delete the posts right now!"

All her previous arrogance and fake tears vanished. She thrashed pathetically, bowing to the camera over and over in sheer desperation.

"I was wrong! It was all garbage! I wasn't thinking! Please, I'm begging the Thorne family to show mercy! Just let me go this once! I'll never do it again!"

The massive whiplash in her attitude had the internet dying of laughter, with mocking comments flooding the screen.

In the final second before the screen went black, the broadcast captured Clara's red, swollen face, tears and snot streaming down as she sobbed in absolute defeat.

The internet treated it as prime entertainment.

Zoe remained completely unscathed, while Clara had successfully exposed every single one of her own dirty secrets.

Having dealt with Clara, Nita immediately headed back to Thorne Manor.

She called Hayden on the way.

"Come home. I need to speak with you."

Hayden wasn't surprised by his mother's call.

He had seen the livestream playing on Zoe's phone.

His mother had moved even faster than he had.

He had intended to step in and handle the situation himself, but Nita had decisively pulled the plug on the broadcast.

He was genuinely surprised.

He had no idea how Nita found out Clara was streaming or how she managed to intervene so quickly.

But he could easily guess the real reason she was calling him now.

Charles's situation could no longer be kept under wraps.

"Alright."

Hayden held his son close, purposely keeping Nita's summons a secret from Zoe.

"I'll take Ian. Focus on your work."

Clara's meltdown hadn't impacted Zoe in the slightest.

She genuinely had a mountain of tasks to get through right now.

Hayden was exceptionally good at taking care of Ian, and Zoe knew that, at the very least, his dedication to their son was genuine.
