Chapter 125 Homewrecker
Lady Flourish’s POV

By the time I reached my desk, Beta Rhys was already waiting outside my office, his tablet held tightly in one hand and his expression caught somewhere between apologetic and grim.
“You should see this before someone shows you the wrong version of it.”
He slid the tablet across my desk, and the headline alone made my stomach drop.
“F-TECH HEIRESS CAUGHT AS HOMEWRECKER – ALLEGED AFFAIR WITH MARRIED
SILVER MOON OFFICIAL.”
The photo beneath it made my wolf stiffen immediately.
I recognized the hallway, the panicked expression, and the torn dress strap from the incident involving Selene, but the caption beneath the picture carried my name instead.
“That’s not me.”
“I know,” Rhys said. “But the photo is grainy enough, and you and Selene resemble each other from a distance, so whoever leaked this either made a convenient mistake or wanted everyone to believe it was you.”
I scrolled through the post, watching the number of shares climb while comments multiplied beneath it.
Strangers were already deciding who I was based on a few blurry seconds of someone else’s worst night, while others had dug up old photographs of me from F-Tech events and pack gatherings, comparing my face, clothes, and body as though they were solving a crime.
My wolf went completely still.
She sensed something I couldn’t ignore.
This wasn’t careless gossip.
The post had appeared at the exact moment my father’s household was already falling apart, and whoever released it had known exactly where to strike.
Someone had taken Selene’s scandal and deliberately redirected it toward me.

The realization made my fingers tighten around the tablet.
There was something familiar about the precision of it, the deliberate attempt to damage my reputation without leaving an obvious trail.
“Karl.”
I didn’t have proof yet, but the method felt too familiar to dismiss.
Before I could investigate further, my phone buzzed against the desk.
I glanced down, and the anger in my chest sharpened instantly.
“I can’t believe you’ve stooped this low after breaking up with me, Flourish. Becoming a mistress to a married man?”
Harold.
I read the message twice, waiting for the words to somehow become less insulting.
They didn’t.
“Flourish?”
Rhys was watching me carefully.
“I’m fine.”
The low growl building in my chest said otherwise.
“I need a minute.”
Rhys nodded and left without another word, closing the door quietly behind him.
A moment later, one of my coworkers poked her head into the office.
“Want some coffee? I bought an extra cup.”
“Thank you, but I’ll pass.”
She disappeared, and I left my office almost immediately.
I stepped into the stairwell and pulled the door shut behind me, needing somewhere private before my anger made the decision for me.
My fingers moved quickly across my phone.

“Harold, you’d better stop harassing me whenever you feel like it. Who cares if I’m a
homewrecker? Even if I’d slept with a dozen strangers in one night, it would have nothing to do with you. Understand?”
I hit send before I could take any of it back.
His response came almost instantly.
“I might have been wrong. I saw the headline and I just-”
“You just what?”
I stared at the screen before typing again.
“Assumed the worst of me without a single second of doubt? That’s not new, Harold. That’s exactly who you’ve always been.”
The typing indicator appeared, disappeared, then appeared again.
Finally, another message came through.
“I know I don’t have the right to ask anything of you anymore. I’m sorry.”
I stared at the apology while my wolf paced beneath my skin.
Harold’s accusations were familiar.
Predictable.
Almost easy to dismiss.
The headline was what bothered me.
Someone had taken Selene’s scandal, changed the identity of the woman in the story, and released it at the exact moment my relationship with Alpha Garret was already under strain.
That wasn’t random.
It was an attack on my standing inside the pack.
I pressed my back against the cool concrete wall and forced myself to breathe slowly.
Whoever had done this hadn’t only wanted to embarrass me.
They wanted Alpha Garret to doubt me, F-Tech to question me, and the pack to start wondering whether the woman standing beside Alpha Damian was worthy of the position she
