Chapter 232 Blood In The Corridors
Lady Flourish’s POV
“It’s Elara’s.”

For a second, nobody moved, and I stared at the blood on Damian’s fingers as though my mind had stopped understanding the words.
Then my wolf surged forward so violently that my vision sharpened, and the golden light returned to my eyes before I could force it down.
“No.”
Damian caught my arm before I could run toward the old wing.
“Flourish.”
“Let me go.”
“Listen to me.”
I turned toward him, and the panic in my chest made it difficult to breathe.
“That is my mother’s blood.”
“I know.”
“You don’t know anything.”
The words came out harsher than I intended, but Damian didn’t react.
His expression remained tight as his fingers closed more firmly around my arm.
“You’re right,” he said. “I don’t know where she is, and neither do you.”
I looked toward the dark corridor again.
“But we know someone took her.”
Magnus crouched beside the bloodstain and studied the floor while two warriors moved ahead to inspect the corridor.
“There are several scents here,” he said.
Damian’s eyes narrowed.

“How many?”
“At least four.”
My stomach tightened.
Magnus touched the floor again, then looked toward the far end of the corridor.
“They were carrying someone.”
My knees almost weakened.
Damian pulled me closer before my body could betray me, and his wolf pushed against mine through the mate bond.
I hated how much comfort I found in it.
“Where did they go?” I asked.
Magnus stood.
“The old wing connects to the lower tunnels.”
Ragnar’s voice came from behind us.
“That passage was sealed.”
Magnus looked at him.
“It isn’t sealed anymore.”
A cold silence settled over the corridor.
For years, everyone had believed the underground tunnels beneath Stonehedge were hidden and controlled, yet enemies had entered through them, taken my mother, and disappeared again.
My wolf began pacing inside me.
“Rhys,” Damian said into his phone.
The Beta answered immediately.
“Alpha.”

tunnels.”
Rhys hesitated.
“There are too many underground routes.”
“Then start closing them.”
“Understood.”
Damian ended the call.
I pulled my arm from his hand.
“I’m going.”
His eyes immediately hardened.
“No.”
“Damian.”
“Absolutely not.”
My wolf growled beneath my skin, and several warriors looked toward me.

The sound was low, but there was enough First Alpha blood in my body now that every wolf nearby could feel the command behind it.
“I am not staying here while they have my mother.”
Damian stepped closer.
“And I am not letting you walk into an ambush.”
“They came here for me.”
“Exactly,”
His voice dropped.
“Do you understand how many wolves would gladly use Elara to bring you into those tunnels?”
I stared at him.
“Then we go together.”

For several seconds, he said nothing.
The silence stretched between us until Magnus finally cleared his throat.
“Alpha, arguing in the corridor is wasting time.”
Damian’s eyes remained on mine.

Magnus continued, “We can secure the route ahead and keep Flourish between the two of us.”
Damian looked at him.
“If anything happens to her-”
“It won’t.”
I knew Damian wanted to refuse again.
I also knew he understood that leaving me behind would not stop me from trying to find another way after them.
Finally, he released a slow breath.
“Stay where I can see you.”
I nodded.
“Do not run ahead.”
“Fine.”
“And if I tell you to stop-”
“Damian.”
His jaw tightened.
“Fine.”
Harold suddenly stepped forward.
“I’m coming.”
Damian looked at him.
Harold’s face was still bruised from Midnight Society, but his expression was steady.

“My blood can track unfamiliar wolves better than most of the younger warriors.”
Damian did not answer immediately.

Then he nodded once.
“Stay behind Magnus.”
Harold gave a short laugh.
“Everyone is giving orders tonight.”
“No one is stopping you from going home.”
Harold’s expression changed slightly.
“I’m not going home.”
For a moment, my eyes moved toward him.
I understood what he meant without him saying it.
Amber was downstairs.
He had defended her earlier, even when Damian confronted him with the truth, but after seeing the video, something between them had clearly changed.
Before anyone could speak again, Magnus raised his hand.
“Movement.”
Every wolf went silent.
A faint sound came from behind the wall beside us.
Scratching.
My heart stopped.
The old corridor had been part of the original residence long before the modern security system had been installed, and most of its walls had been reinforced without anyone considering what might still be hidden behind them.
The scratching came again.
Damian moved in front of me.

“Back.”
I took one step away.
The wall suddenly cracked.
A section of wood and plaster collapsed inward, revealing a narrow opening behind it.
A warrior raised his phone flashlight.
