“Let’s go home.” It showed how close they were to each other.

“Yes. Lucian wrapped his arms around Ayla’s waist and led her out of the room, while Ayla was struggling to stand steady.

As he turned around, his gaze once again fell upon me. I kept my head down and never looked over. Lucian’s gaze deepened even more.

He left. Everyone visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

Although they all wanted to meet such a great man in person, to be in the same room with Lucian would make them feel nervous from some invisible pressure.

Relaxed, everyone had a few more drinks after Lucian left.

I knew my alcohol tolerance and did not drink. I kept eating food. No one persuaded me to drink.

After saying that, she drank it all in one gulp. She raised her glass to make a toast.

All eyes of the colleagues fell on me. I had to pick up my glass, but it wasn’t as full as Nyx’s.

I could only handle half a glass of wine.

‘Don’t worry.” The three of them exchanged glances as they said.

“Thank you for your kindness, but my friend happened to be nearby and he would come to pick me up.” I told them.

The three of them didn’t insist on escorting me home, so they opened the car door and got in.

I finally breathed a sigh of relief after the car drove away. I knew I couldn’t hold on for much longer and I needed to find a place to sober up quickly.
