Willow, eyes red, rushed to Ayla’s side. “Mom, don’t die! I called Dad, he’ll be here soon…”

“Seren hated Lucian because of his favoritism towards me. As long as I kept Lucian against Seren…” thought Ayla.
Then Ayla heard Willow’s sobs. Her face hardened at the mention of Lucian’s arrival.
“Tonight’s actions couldn’t be revealed to Lucian. I had no explanation for my injuries.” thought Ayla.
‘Who told you to call your father?” Ayla snapped, her voice sharp.
Willow, her face streaked with tears, looked at Ayla, her lips trembling, but she remained silent.
Ayla was too drained to deal with her. The call was made; She couldn’t ask Lucian not to come-that would be too obvious.
After a moment’s thought, Ayla told Willow to wait for Lucian at the door while she subtly reopened her wound, feigning weakness.
When Lucian arrived, Willow ran to him, bursting into tears and throwing herself into his arms.
“Dad…” She didn’t fully grasp the extent of my injuries, but the sight of blood terrified her.
Lucian embraced Willow, then strode inside, Dr. Nathaniel following close behind.
Lucian’s face sank seeing Ayla’s injuries.
He set Willow down and rushed to my side, worry etched on his features.
“Ayla,” he said, his voice laced with concern.

Dr. Hale examined her wound.
The torn gauze revealed the raw, bloody flesh, causing Lucian’s expression to darken.
Ayla held Lucian’s hand tightly during the treatment.
“Ms. Garcia’s injuries are consistent with multiple impacts against a hard surface…” Dr. Hale stated, making it clear this wasn’t an accident.
