Claim 10 Cone By Chica
Chapter 254
Ayla heard Lucian’s speculation that I had hurt her, and she visibly paused.
She didn’t expect him to directly associate it with me.
Ayla’s initial unease instantly subsided. Her wolf relaxed, sensing her confidence.
She carefully considered that I would only know she killed Aurora if I had heard it from Sebastian.
Fortunately, Sebastian died in time.
There is no evidence to support her killing Aurora now.
As long as there was no solid evidence presented to Lucian, doubt would linger between us. That was exactly what Ayla wanted.
No matter when, Lucian’s first reaction was always to protect Ayla;
So to be honest, Ayla had nothing to worry about.
Ayla was filled with pride, a barely visible smirk at the corner of her lips, as she looked up at Lucian, whose face was filled with coldness due to the harm she claimed I caused.
“Clara, you took Willow upstairs first.” Ayla suppressed her emotions and instructed the nanny, who was carrying calming tea, to come out of
the kitchen.
At all times, she never forgot to maintain a good motherly image in front of Lucian. The last thing she would forget to do was to pretend to care for Willow very much.
“Mum…” Willow looked at Ayla, her face filled with worry.
“Willow, be good. I am fine, Dad is here, don’t worry about Mom. Now go upstairs and sleep.”
‘Go to sleep, Willow. Lucian also touched Willow’s head.
Willow obediently followed the nanny upstairs.
Knowing Willow was upstairs, Ayla returned to her room and closed the door.
Her eye sockets gradually turned red, as if she had suppressed her emotions for a long time and could no longer hold back.
She looked as if she had suffered a great grievance, chokingly saying, “I don’t know what happened to Seren tonight, she was like crazy, grabbing my hair and banging it on the ground…”
As Ayla spoke, her body uncontrollably trembled, showing a frightened appearance supposedly caused by me.
This wasn’t entirely an act; my wolf had felt her genuine fear at the cemetery. But now it was carefully manipulated.
“Even though everything is fine now, there is still a lingering fear when I recall it.” Ayla continued.
Although Ayla didn’t go into great detail, her reaction indicated how crazy and ruthless I was.
She watched as Lucian’s aura grew colder because of her words, and took the opportunity to throw herself into his arms, pleading as she used to, Lucian, please don’t be angry!”
“When you asked me, I didn’t intentionally keep quiet. I was genuinely afraid that you would confront Seren for my sake. After all, she was Aurora’s mother. I didn’t really do anything. As long as Seren didn’t harm Willow, I can tolerate anything she did to me, because I really didn’t want to make you uncomfortable.
My wolf felt a surge of disgust at her performance.
Ayla spoke, and tears rolled out of her eyes. She buried herself in Lucian’s arms, and her tears soaked his shirt. She cried as if she was so wronged by me but there was a smile on her lips and a look of satisfaction in her eyes.
My wolf bared its teeth, sensing the sheer hypocrisy.”
“Seren, even if you knew that I killed that little bitch Aurora, so what?” That’s what Ayla thought, “I had Lucian’s favor and love, and there was nothing you could do about it.”
Dr. Nathaniel Hale stood aside and almost couldn’t help rolling his eyes.
