Chapter 53
As we were speaking, we arrived at the elevator and the two of us walked inside.
When the elevator doors closed, a figure emerged from the green plants on one side.
It was Ayla.
She heard it.

Lucian walked in under the moonlight, and as soon as he entered, Willow excitedly threw herself into his arms, saying, “Daddy, Daddy, I have af super big piece of good news to tell you.”
“What good news?”
The coldness in Lucian’s eyes dissipated, and his tone became gentle.
“Today at the running race with other pups, I got third place, yay! Isn’t me amazing?!” Willow had a curved eyebrow and her eyes were full of joy, with a small face.
“Yes! You are the greatest little girl in the world!” Lucian looked at her who had recovered and lovingly patted her head.
“Dad, I am really happy. This is my first time participating in a running race with other pups! And I won!” Willow snuggled into Lucian’s arms, acting coquettishly.
“Good job! Willow, you deserve a good celebration, don’t you?”
Ayla walked out of the kitchen and pinched Willow’s nose, teasing her on purpose.
“Really? Celebrate for Willow? Can Willow invite all the kindergarten children to join?”
Willow immediately climbed up the pole and raised her little head, looking at Ayla with eager eyes.
Ayla tapped her head impatiently, “You silly girl, you actually believed it!”
Willow turned to Lucian and coquettishly said, “Daddy.”
“Okay.”
Lucian agreed.
‘Oh yeah, I loved Dad the most.”
Willow happily kissed Lucian on the cheek.
‘Lucian, you spoiled her too much!”
Ayla disagreed.
Lucian looked fondly and said, “Willow has recovered and, of course, it is worth celebrating.”
Seeing Lucian’s determination, Ayla didn’t say anything more.
‘Shall we set it for this Sunday then?”
Ayla said casually.
“Um.’
Lucian had no objections.
Ayla curved her lips.
In a blink of an eye, it was already Sunday.
Today was the day Aurora was buried.

Jace was always by my side.
Until the funeral ended.
“Jace, I want to spend some time alone with Aurora again.”
My eyes were swollen from crying, and I looked at Jace, speaking in a hoarse voice.
Jace had training in the afternoon.
He took leave to come and attend Aurora’s funeral.
“Go back early, Seren. Look ahead. What Aurora wants the most is for you to be happy.”
Jace knelt down and comfortingly hugged me.
