I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 385

Inside Finn's car.

Sienna and Paxton chatted comfortably in the backseat.

Once Paxton got the full rundown of what had happened, he zeroed in on the core issue.

"This Sasha woman... I think I've heard the name. Hey, Finn, is she the spoiled princess of the Beaumont family? The famous socialite?"

Finn kept his eyes on the road.

"Yeah. The youngest daughter of the Beaumonts."

Paxton's face hardened, his usual laid-back attitude vanishing entirely.

"Finn, you're the one who dragged this mess to her door, so you better clean it up. Do not let this blow back on Sienna. She has less than two months until her exam. If she tanks it because your psycho stalker decides to cause trouble, it's on you."

Finn checked the rearview mirror.

"The Beaumonts aren't omnipotent. If they were, Sasha wouldn't have bothered taking the exam herself. These civil service tests are strictly regulated and fair. And what do you mean, 'my mess'?"

Paxton locked eyes with him in the mirror.

"What exactly is your relationship with Sasha?"

Finn slowly pulled the car over to the curb and turned around to face Paxton.

"Are you out of your mind, Paxton? I don't have any kind of relationship with her."

As he spoke, he instinctively glanced at Sienna, terrified she might get the wrong idea.

Sienna was staring out the window, acting as though she hadn't heard a single word of their conversation.

"Why are you so defensive? Just drive the car, chauffeur," Paxton dismissed him with a wave.

Once they reached the restaurant and took their seats, Paxton stepped away to call Autumn while they waited for their food.

He hung up and returned to the table.

He looked between Sienna and Finn, his tone significantly darker than before.

"Sasha's brother, Sebastian, just showed up and took her home. Autumn said her ankle was swollen like a balloon, and Sebastian looked like he was ready to murder someone."

Sienna picked up a piece of broccoli, chewed it methodically, and set down her fork.

"Paxton, tell Autumn to back up the security footage from the third-floor hallway."

Her voice was calm, but her mind had already strategized five steps ahead.
