I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 389

Finn Fletcher stood up, his gaze sweeping past Sebastian Beaumont.

He had always known that Sebastian was blindly protective of his own.

As long as it involved Sasha, the Beaumont heir had zero rationality.

So, Finn couldn't be bothered to entertain him.

"I'll be going now. I won't intrude any longer."

Sasha's eyes followed Finn's retreating figure, her fingers curling into her palms.

But Sebastian strode down the stairs and blocked his path.

"You come and go as you please. What do you take my family's home for?" He glanced at Sasha's reddened eyes out of the corner of his eye, his tone growing heavier. "My sister—I can't even bear to raise my voice at her, yet you make her cry the moment you arrive? This isn't over."

Finn stopped and looked down at him.

He was half a head taller than Sebastian, naturally exuding a more commanding presence.

"What do you want to say?" There wasn't a trace of panic in his voice.

Sebastian took a half step forward, laughing out of pure anger.

"My sister was pushed down the stairs by your so-called ex-girlfriend. Her ankle is swollen like a balloon. You march into my house, and instead of asking how she is, you interrogate her. Finn, are you blind?"

"Do you really think Sienna pushed your sister?"

"Who else?" Sebastian stuffed his hands into his pockets, lifting his chin. "Did she injure her own ankle just for fun?"

"There are security cameras at Serenity Books," Finn said evenly, his gaze dark. "Want to go take a look together?"

Sebastian's expression didn't change, but for a split second, his eyes darted toward Sasha.

As if seeking confirmation.

Sasha sat on the sofa with her head bowed. She still wore that aggrieved expression, but she didn't say a single word.

After a few seconds of silence, she finally looked up. Her voice was incredibly soft, playing the role of the reasonable peacemaker perfectly.

"Forget it. It was my own carelessness. It has nothing to do with anyone else. Sebastian, please don't make things difficult for Finn."

As she spoke, her eyes welled up with tears again.

Sebastian looked at her, his heart aching with protective fury.

When he turned back to Finn, his tone was ice-cold.

"I originally didn't want to touch you. You just took the CEO seat at the Fletcher Corporation, and I worried you wouldn't be able to hold onto it. But now, it seems there's no need to save your face. This time, even if I have to throw away hundreds of millions of dollars, I will fight you to the bitter end for the Westside Project. I want you to know that whoever makes my sister uncomfortable, I will make their life a living hell."
