I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 390

Sebastian's footsteps halted, as if he had just heard something even more absurd than Finn's behavior.

"Silas Hayes' girlfriend? Silas would actually fall for her?"

He furrowed his brows, his face full of disbelief.

"Has everyone lost their minds?"

Sasha lowered her eyes, her fingers slowly tracing the edge of her bandage.

"That's what I can't figure out either. A man like Silas has seen it all. How could he possibly be taken in by her..."

She trailed off, leaving the rest unspoken.

Sebastian stared at her. After a few seconds of silence, he suddenly let out a cold sneer.

"These men are completely blind. They ignore a woman like you—someone with a great background, a perfect personality, and flawless in every way—and instead go chasing after that kind of..."

He stopped himself, realizing that saying any more would make him look unhinged.

He reached out and patted Sasha's shoulder.

"There just so happens to be a business dinner tomorrow night. Silas will be there. I'll have a chat with him."

Sasha lowered her gaze, hiding the calculating gleam in her eyes.

The following evening, Silas's car pulled into the hotel's underground parking garage.

The light in the backseat was heavily muted by the tinted windows. He leaned against the seat and closed his eyes for a moment, listening to Henry Hart report from the passenger seat.

"Mr. Hayes, you asked me to look into what Dr. Sterling has been busy with lately. My guys dug through the trash for a month and finally found a lead. She's currently preparing for the Medical Supervision Post exam at the Health Commission."

Silas remembered taking Sienna to meet Director Chen a while back.

It seemed she had made her decision around that time.

"With her abilities, passing the written exam won't be an issue. The interview stage is much more flexible than the written test, so we'll see how things play out then. Whatever she wants to do, I'll help her achieve it, as long as it's truly what she desires."

"Mr. Hayes, you really do care deeply about Dr. Sterling."

Silas didn't respond to that right away. After a moment, he spoke again.

"How are things between her and Finn?"

"Dr. Sterling has already moved out of Solstice Heights, and she hasn't had much contact with Finn," Henry answered. "From what we've observed, they haven't gotten back together."

Silas's gaze drifted out the window. It was pitch black outside; nothing could be seen.
