Sienna froze in shock.

Noah was in Metropolis?

Her hands started to tremble.

"Is it serious?"

"We're running preliminary scans right now. Just get here as soon as you can."

Sienna hung up the phone without a second of hesitation.

She turned to Finn.

"My brother was in an accident. Take me to the hospital, the one I used to work at."

Finn didn't ask a single question. He drove faster than his usual pace. At the red lights, he reached over to briefly cover her hand with his before pulling back to the wheel.

Once they reached the hospital, Sienna practically sprinted toward the emergency department.

Finn stayed right on her heels.

The chaotic clamor of the ER echoed down the corridor.

Knowing the layout like the back of her hand, Sienna found the right section in seconds.

A sharp, grating argument pierced through the noise.

"I told you I was in the right lane! You swerved into oncoming traffic and hit me! Are you blind? And you're yelling at me?!"

Another voice instantly fired back.

"I swerved?! I drive that route three times a day! If you hadn't taken a sudden turn, I wouldn't have clipped you!"

They were both screaming at each other, neither willing to back down, trying to out-shout one another.

Sienna quickened her pace.

The moment she laid eyes on Noah, her chest heaved a sigh of relief.

If he still had the lung capacity to scream, he was going to survive.

At the end of the hall, Noah was laid out on a rolling gurney. His left arm was strapped into a temporary splint, his sleeve rolled up to reveal a patch of bloodied gauze.

He was dressed in a standard delivery driver uniform, his hair an absolute mess. A nasty scrape marked his cheek, and though he looked pale, his vocal cords were firing on all cylinders as he screamed at the person across from him.

The person standing opposite him was also wearing a delivery jacket, having entirely forgotten to take off their helmet.

The jacket was smeared with dust, and strands of hair escaped from beneath the helmet's rim as they hollered right back at him.
