The moment the elevator doors slid open, Finn refused to let go of her hand.
He leaned in, his voice dropping to a low, husky register against her ear.
"What did you promise me before?"
"Hmm?" Sienna tilted her head, genuinely drawing a blank.
Finn's eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
"You said once your exams were over, you would... you know."
Sienna shook her head, thoroughly confused.
"I don't follow."
She glanced down at her watch. It was past nine o'clock.
Taking a small half-step back, she tried to slip out of his embrace.
"I'm going to head back and take a shower. Goodnight."
"Perfect. We'll shower together." Finn reached out, gripping her wrist and pulling her straight through his front door.
The door clicked shut behind them.
The entryway lights were still off.
The only illumination came from the sprawling city skyline, bleeding through the gaps in the curtains to paint a slender strip of silver moonlight across the hardwood floor.
Sienna's back hit the solid wood of the door.
Finn stood flush against her, staring down.
His dress shirt had pulled slightly askew when he dragged her in, baring a tantalizing sliver of skin just below his collarbone.
He planted one hand on the door right beside her ear. With deliberate, excruciating slowness, his other hand reached up and popped the top button of his collar.
His predatory gaze never left her face, dark currents of desire visibly surging in his eyes.
Sienna swallowed hard on pure instinct. The raw, imposing presence of the man standing before her was impossible to ignore.
"You wanted to wash up? Let me draw the bath."
Before she could blink, Sienna felt the world tilt as Finn effortlessly scooped her up into his arms.
