When Finn finally stood up to leave, Maeve stood up as well.

"I'll go with you. We need to leave soon. Winston is moving out of the country next month."

Terrence drove them toward Quincy City, with Finn and Maeve sitting in the back.

The first thing Finn did was call Sienna to explain the situation.

"I need to go out of town for a week to Quincy City. You can stay at any of my apartments, the passcode is your birthday. Yeah, don't worry. Wait for me to get back."

Maeve brushed off the gratitude.

"I already know," Finn replied smoothly.

Maeve watched him for two seconds before her voice turned steely.

"A man needs to be ruthless. You can't let yourself get bogged down by petty romance. When someone provokes you time and time again, you need to stomp them into the dirt and make sure they never rise again. That is the only way to permanently eliminate a threat!"
