"Look how much my sister and Finn love each other," Noah narrated quietly. "They hold hands everywhere they go. Finn always initiates it. That's true love."
He immediately fired the video off to a group chat.
Georgina shot him a side-eye.
Sienna caught him in the act.
Before he could ask Georgina what that look was for, Sienna turned around.
"What are you filming?"
"Just a quick video for the family group chat." Noah waved his phone. "To show Mom and Dad."
Sienna clicked her tongue.
"Stop sending them stuff like that."
Finn glanced at her and gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
"Let him send it." He paused. "I actually wanted to invite your folks to Metropolis. We can all get together in a few days. I can even go pick them up myself."
"Yeah, absolutely! Finn, take me with you when you go. I'll ride shotgun," Noah chimed in enthusiastically.
Sienna didn't respond.
She just walked straight into the restaurant.
Inside, the warm, amber lighting flooded the space, and the air was rich with the scent of lemongrass and coconut milk.
They sat at a table by the window. Finn and Sienna sat on one side, with Noah and Georgina across from them.
The food started arriving—Tom Yum soup, curry crab, pineapple fried rice, and green papaya salad—covering half the table.
Noah grabbed a shrimp from the soup and put it on his plate. Then, without missing a beat, he grabbed another one and dropped it onto Georgina's plate.
Georgina gave him a look.
Noah waved his chopsticks.
"Don't worry, I used the serving utensils."
Georgina blinked, rendered speechless.
She looked down and took a bite, carefully placing the shell on the edge of her plate. Her movements were delicate, like a quiet little cat.
Noah smiled.
He reached over to scoop some mushrooms out of the soup, but his elbow accidentally knocked a box of napkins off the table.
As he bent down to pick it up, he noticed something lying by Finn's feet.
It was small, black, and about the size of half a palm.
