But she had no intention of exposing him.
Sienna's suspicion of Isaac's words didn't mean she thought he was cheating.
Instead, her mind leaped to a completely different conclusion—one that made her heart race.
Finn's recent behavior aligned perfectly with Isaac's secretiveness.
She suspected that Finn was actively planning to take their relationship to the next level.
As the thought settled in her mind, a thin layer of cold sweat coated her palms.
It was fear.
A suffocating panic at the thought of the status quo being shattered.
"Sienna, what are you thinking about?" Lily asked from the sofa.
Sienna stood up and slung her bag over her shoulder.
"Nothing. Get some rest tonight, and stop letting your imagination run wild."
As soon as she walked out of the apartment building, her phone buzzed.
It was Finn.
"Where are you? I'll come pick you up."
She named a nearby shopping mall.
It was less than a ten-minute walk.
By the time she arrived, Finn's car was pulling up to the intersection.
The Bentley's headlights swept across the pavement, the dark gold chassis gleaming warmly under the streetlamps.
He pulled over and leaned across the center console to push the passenger door open for her.
Sienna slid into the seat. The cabin was warm and carried the faint, familiar scent of cedarwood.
Finn turned to look at her.
"Did you eat?"
"No." Sienna leaned back into the leather seat and tilted her head to look at him. "Have you been drinking?"
Finn's expression tightened instantly.
"Just a little bit."
Sienna offered a soft, amused smile.
"Relax."
Finn smiled back, put the car in gear, spun the steering wheel, and merged smoothly into the main road.
Finn took them to The Harbor Light.
After parking, he walked around to open the passenger door for her, instinctively placing a hand over the roof to protect her head.
