I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 567

"Georgina, actually, I..."

Before he could finish his sentence, the sound of a car engine cutting off echoed from behind him.

A white Porsche rolled to a stop right outside the dorm building. The headlights hadn't fully dimmed yet, casting a blinding white beam across the dark pavement.

The driver's door swung open, and a young man stepped out. He was wearing a light gray overcoat over a dark turtleneck, the silver band of a luxury watch flashing at his wrist. He looked impeccably put together, radiating an effortless, old-money elegance.

He carried a paper gift bag. When he spotted Georgina, he smiled and strode directly toward her.

"Georgina, there you are. Perfect timing, I was worried you might have already gone to sleep." He handed the bag over. "Thanks for letting me borrow your notes last week. You saved my life. This is a little thank-you gift."

Georgina took the bag and glanced inside. It was a limited-edition dessert box from the insanely popular bakery near campus—the kind you couldn't get without waiting in line for hours.

She smiled.

"It was nothing, you didn't have to do all this."

"It might be nothing to you, but it was a lifesaver to me." The guy said, his gaze casually shifting to Noah. He offered a polite, assessing look. "Your friend?"

Georgina glanced sideways at Noah.

"Yeah. The younger brother of a really good friend of mine."

The guy nodded, offering a polite nod to Noah as a greeting.

He then turned his attention back to Georgina, his tone growing more earnest.

"By the way, Georgina, I heard people talking about your grandpa the other day. President Vance of Northern State University, a literal legend in the literary and historical world. I spent hours poring over his monographs; I have so much respect for him. You really have that same aura. It's obvious you come from a family of scholars."

Georgina felt a little embarrassed by the heavy praise and waved it off.

"Oh, stop it. You're going to make me blush."

"I'm just stating facts." The guy chuckled. "If you ever need a favor, you just say the word."
