I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 581

Sienna put down her fork and took a sip of water from her glass to suppress the feeling.

The nausea didn't completely fade. She sat for a moment, but the urge to vomit rose again, stronger than before. She set her glass down and stood up.

"I need to use the restroom."

She stood and walked out of the private dining room, her pace faster than usual.

The fluorescent lights in the restroom at the end of the hall were blindingly white. She pushed open a stall door, leaned over the toilet, and dry-heaved a few times, but nothing came up.

She leaned against the partition and waited a while until the nausea finally subsided.

She turned on the faucet, splashed cold water on her face, and looked at herself in the mirror.

The harsh bathroom lighting highlighted her exhaustion. She stared at her reflection for a few seconds as a vague thought surfaced from the depths of her mind, slowly rising like a bubble.

She remembered what she had said on the beach in Hawaii on New Year's Eve.

"I'll wait for you to come back, and then we'll get married and have kids."

Her heart skipped a beat.

Her period was late this month.

They hadn't used protection that night.

Piecing all the signs together...

Sienna guessed the possibility, and she was almost certain.

She dried her hands, turned around, and walked out.

When she returned to the dining room, her colleagues were discussing the schedule for the next quarter.

She decided she would find time to go to the hospital for a check-up in a couple of days. Once it was confirmed, she would feel at ease.

On Saturday morning, the sun came out in Metropolis.

Sunlight streamed through the windows, falling warmly on the back of Sienna's hand.

She looked down at her flat stomach.

Today, she needed to swing by The Summit Residences to pick up some things she had left behind.
