I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 75

Chloe had already spotted her.

Meeting Chloe's gaze, Sienna figured there was no point in hiding anymore.

Chloe's eyes raked over Sienna from head to toe, and then back up again, a smirk playing on her lips as if she were looking at something entirely beneath her.

"Dr. Sterling is shopping all by herself?"

Lily stood next to Sienna, firmly gripping her arm.

She took a step forward, pointing at Chloe.

"Are you blind? What am I, invisible?"

Unfazed, Chloe leaned even closer against Finn.

Finn stood there, motionless.

His gaze landed on Sienna's face for a fraction of a second.

It revealed absolutely nothing.

Chloe was secretly observing Finn as well.

Seeing his cold, detached reaction made her practically jump for joy inwardly.

It also bolstered her confidence.

Sienna tugged at Lily to leave.

"Dr. Sterling," Chloe's voice drifted from behind, soft and laced with a smile. "June 18th is my wedding with Finn. It's less than three months away. If you have time, you should come have a drink to celebrate with us."

Sienna didn't look back.

Her spine was ramrod straight, but Lily could see her fingers trembling.

Finn's indifference gave Chloe all the courage she needed.

She had waited four years for this day.

She could finally use this opportunity to ruthlessly vent all her pent-up resentment.

Clinging to Finn's arm, she looked up at him, her voice sickeningly sweet.

"Darling, what do you think?"

Finn glanced at Chloe, then looked at Sienna.

"Why invite her?"

It was a very brief sentence.

But every single syllable fell perfectly into Sienna's ears.

Like a barrage of needles violently stabbing into the most tender part of her heart.

But before any of that, the most vital step was keeping Chloe oblivious.

So, he couldn't afford to tear up the script and turn on Chloe just yet.

Under normal circumstances, acting was just acting. It wasn't that hard.

But it had to be today. It had to be right this second.

Sienna was standing right in front of him!

Was this some colossal, cosmic test orchestrated by the heavens, throwing everything at him all at once?

He deserved it. He deserved to endure this!

Finn ordered himself to be careful. He couldn't afford to tip his hand, especially now.

Chloe was Yolanda's eyes and ears.

"Darling? What's wrong?" Chloe tugged at his hand.

"What kind of nonsense is this?" Finn repeated, subtly dodging Chloe's touch as he spoke.

But those words hitting Sienna's ears...

They were an absolute bombshell, striking her like a sledgehammer squarely in the face.
