Sienna's fingers paused.
She had indeed contacted Hans von Zale, hoping he could help clear her name.
But unfortunately, she hadn't been able to reach him.
Her mentor had changed all his contact information.
Her earlier declaration in front of everyone about calling him had just been a bluff, a desperate strategy.
She simply had no other options left.
But now, why was Hans here?
Everyone's gaze shifted to the door.
Director Winifred Waters froze for a few seconds before nodding.
"Let him in."
The atmosphere in the conference room completely shifted the moment Professor von Zale walked in.
He was in his sixties with graying hair, wearing a dark suit and carrying a leather briefcase.
He swept his gaze across the room, his eyes finally landing on Sienna, and smiled.
"Sienna, I received an email saying you were in trouble here. I flew twelve hours, and I hope I'm not too late."
Sienna temporarily suppressed the doubts in her heart and greeted her mentor in English.
"Professor von Zale, thank you for making the trip."
Hans smiled at her, then turned to Director Waters, pulling a stack of documents from his briefcase and placing them on the table.
"This is Sienna's complete file from her three years of residency under my supervision. Her transcripts, her research papers, her surgical logs, and her patient follow-up data. Every single one can be verified. Sienna is one of the most outstanding students I have ever mentored. If anyone questions her academic abilities, they are questioning my judgment."
He paused, then took out another file.
"This is the admission process file for the residency program that year. There were five spots globally. Sienna applied through normal channels and was selected after three rounds of screening. All application materials, interview records, and grading criteria are right here. The quota allocation was flawless. There was no 'stealing' anyone's spot."
Director Waters looked at the thick stack of documents.
She instructed the staff to distribute them for everyone to review.
Director Waters looked at her in surprise, clearly not expecting this reaction.
Sienna stood up.
"First, I need the hospital to issue a public statement proving my innocence. And as for the whistleblower, I need him to face the appropriate consequences."
As she spoke, she pulled a file from her tote bag.
"This is my formal report, filed under my real name. Dr. Zachary Vance has committed defamation, spread false information, and destroyed a colleague's reputation. All the evidence is right here."
She pushed the file in front of Director Waters.
The conference room fell completely silent for a moment.
Everyone's eyes landed on the file.
Director Waters's expression darkened as she picked it up and flipped through it.
The report was meticulously prepared, with a complete chain of evidence. Screenshots, audio recordings, and witness testimonies were laid out clearly, point by point.
