It was obvious she had been preparing this for a long time.
Isaac Holloway sat in the gallery, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.
He was shocked, but beneath the shock was undeniable admiration.
He knew Sienna wasn't some helpless damsel waiting to be saved.
Seeing her show up to work normally every day, she had actually been plotting this the entire time.
Director Waters closed the file and murmured with the people beside her again.
Finally, she nodded.
"Dr. Sterling's report will be processed according to procedure. Dr. Vance's matter will also be investigated."
Sienna didn't say anything else.
She stood up and walked out of the conference room with Hans.
They went to a quiet, uncrowded Western restaurant near the hospital.
Sienna and Hans sat across from each other. Several plates of food sat on the table, but neither of them touched their silverware much.
"Professor, who sent you that email?" Sienna finally asked.
Hans put down his fork and looked at her.
He fell silent for a few seconds.
"Sienna, this person didn't really want others to know his name. I promised him, so I can't say. Other than that, I'll tell you anything you want to know."
Sienna laced her fingers together.
She searched through her memories but couldn't put a face to the action.
Who would help her like this?
Who would go to such great lengths, paying a steep price to fly a professor twelve hours from Europe to testify for her, complete with all her archival documents?
Among the people she knew, no one had that kind of power, nor the motive.
Lily James? She didn't even have Hans's contact info.
Isaac Holloway? He had helped her a lot, but he had no connection to Hans.
Besides, Isaac always did things by the book; he wouldn't use this "anonymous" method.
She couldn't figure out who it was.
A name suddenly flashed through her mind, but she instantly crushed the thought.
Impossible! He had no reason to do this.
He was even a suspect in harming her. How could it be him?
Sienna shook her head, forcing the absurd thought down.
Regardless of who it was, the most important thing right now was dealing with the immediate aftermath.
Some said, "Professor von Zale is a leading authority in European gastrointestinal surgery." Others chimed in, "Dr. Sterling's mentor flew here personally to testify, this report is definitely fake." Someone even tagged Zachary Vance, sending a string of ellipses.
Sienna skimmed it and handed the phone back.
"I'm heading to the on-call room," she said.
She walked into the on-call room and closed the door.
Sitting down, she opened her computer.
With a swipe of the page, the website she had clicked on last time appeared.
The FLIGHT Forum.
Her heart sank.
Everything concerning Finn Fletcher affected her mood.
Her fingers hovered over the keyboard for a few seconds. Just as she was about to close it, her gaze suddenly froze.
She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her and instinctively sat up straighter.
The post exposing her personal information was gone.
In the pinned position at the top was a new statement.
