I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 88

She stared at the text, the words hitting her mind like a crack of thunder.

Yolanda Fletcher?

It had to be someone's sick prank. Her information had been leaked before, so this was definitely a joke.

But then, an email came through.

She instinctively clicked it open.

The attachment was a video.

When she played it, the screen showed a woman around her age sitting in front of the camera, her eyes darting nervously before she spoke.

"My name is Jocelyn Quinn. Didn't you always want to know who reported you? It was me. And the part about you stealing my spot is completely true. Even though the hospital cleared your name, what's real is real, and what's fake is fake."

She held up an admission letter, pulling it close to the lens until the embossed seal was clearly visible.

It was identical to the one Sienna had received four years ago.

"I took someone's money, so I withdrew the report. But that doesn't mean you earned your place fairly."

The video ended.

Before she realized it, Sienna's feet had carried her back to the on-call room.

She locked the door, leaned against it, and stood completely still even as her phone screen went dark.

Her mind kept looping over that woman's face, the admission letter, and that damning sentence: "I took someone's money."

The sheer volume of information was overwhelming. She couldn't sort it out.

She forced herself to calm down and process it.

She had thought that once the hearing ended, once Hans testified and the hospital cleared her, everything would finally be over.

But this wasn't over.

Someone out there refused to let it go.

She took a deep breath and opened that text message again.

Yolanda Fletcher.

She was going to see exactly what kind of game this woman was playing!

The next day at 3 PM, The Peninsula Hotel tea room.

Yolanda sat by the window. She was wearing an elegant, tailored designer dress, this time in a soft lilac.

Her voice wasn't loud, but every syllable dripped with venom.

"Your career, your future—it's all built on a dirty foundation. Did you honestly think you made it out there on your own merit? Without the Fletchers, you are nothing."

Sienna studied Yolanda, her eyes completely calm, watching her the way one might watch a desperate actor flailing on stage.

There was no emotion in her gaze whatsoever.

Yolanda sensed she was dealing with a tricky situation, but she didn't care.

She pressed on, her tone growing harsher.

"Everything you have right now was given to you by the Fletchers. Whether you admit it or not, that is the undeniable truth."

Sienna waited for her to finish before finally speaking.

"Aren't you thirsty after talking so much?"

Yolanda's meticulously maintained expression shattered instantly.

The corners of Sienna's lips curled into a slight smile.

"You can drop the dramatic build-up. Your text and that video made the situation perfectly clear. Since you went through so much trouble to lure me here, why don't you just tell me exactly what it is you want?"
