I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 120

After all, she hadn't relayed a single word of the message Parrish had asked her to pass on to Bonnie.

But Seraphina was a master manipulator. Almost instantly, her expression morphed into one of innocent, delighted surprise.

"Bonnie? What are you doing here?"

She reached out affectionately, trying to grab Bonnie's hand, her voice dripping with artificial sweetness.

"Did you change your mind? Are you going to join us at the resort tomorrow? Parrish just said earlier that he really wants to introduce you to the board members from the National Medical Council."

Bonnie stared blankly at her performance and slapped her hand away.

Looking past Seraphina's shoulder, she instantly spotted Parrish sitting on the living room couch.

No wonder Seraphina was turning up the helpless act—it was purely for Parrish's benefit.

Bonnie let out a cold laugh, not even bothering to waste breath on pleasantries. She cut straight to the chase.

"Seraphina, why does your promotion paper feature my grandfather's exclusive formula?"

"This is blatant plagiarism!"

Seraphina froze in place, all the color draining from her face.

She hadn't expected Bonnie to see the paper this fast, let alone confront her at her front door.

But she quickly suppressed her panic, replacing it with a look of wounded shock and profound humiliation.

"Bonnie, what are you talking about? How could I possibly plagiarize your grandfather's formula? I wrote every single word of my paper from scratch. What proof do you have to come to my home and hurl baseless accusations?"

Watching her play the victim made Bonnie sick.

"Proof?"

Bonnie took a step forward. "That obscure formula for Alzheimer's disease was tucked inside The Hayes Medical Ledger. Parrish took the book from me to give to you. By the time I managed to get it back, those specific pages were gone."
