Quentin didn't bother answering. He simply narrowed his eyes, his gaze cutting through the chaotic crowd to stay anchored on the petite woman in the distance.
Sterling knew Quentin far too well. Seeing the raw, unfiltered possessiveness in his eyes, he knew the untouchable billionaire had finally met his match.
Honestly, he understood why.
Bonnie might not have Vivian's flawless, aristocratic elegance, but she burned with a fierce, untamed vitality.
She was pure, resilient, vibrant, and radiantly alive.
For someone like Quentin, who had spent years suffocating in the dark, that kind of light was a lethal temptation.
Back at the clinic, Sterling had watched her dismantle Seraphina's smear campaign in seconds, which had initially piqued his interest.
Unfortunately, Quentin kept her locked down so tight that no one else ever stood a chance.
Sterling pulled his gaze back and asked quietly, "Parrish's engagement party is right upstairs. Are you planning on taking her to that?"
Quentin's expression remained indifferent as he lightly tapped his fingers inside his pocket.
"Yes."
Sterling raised an eyebrow, his tone amused.
"Playing with fire, aren't we? Aren't you worried Parrish will snap out of it and try to steal her back?"
A sudden, terrifying darkness swept across Quentin's eyes as his brow knit together.
"As if he's worthy."
His voice was cold enough to freeze hell over.
They dropped the subject.
A few moments later, a commotion broke out near one of the display tables.
"What's going on?"
Sterling looked over toward the noise. The chaos was centered right where Bonnie was standing.
Quentin's face darkened instantly. He stretched his long legs and marched straight for the crowd.
A massive crowd had already gathered around the booth, packed three layers deep.
The vicious, biting whispers cut clearly through the murmurs.
"She's actually the granddaughter of that quack, Harrison Hayes?"
"The hack who killed that official years ago? How the hell did his granddaughter sneak into a summit like this?"
"A quack's descendant dares to practice medicine? Kick her out before she taints the entire industry's reputation!"
The insults grew increasingly foul. Quentin looked murderous, his entire body radiating an utterly chilling aura.
