I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 201

Nathaniel Thorne didn't elaborate on his decades-old history with the Vance and Hayes families.

"Alright, time is precious at this summit," he said, waving a hand dismissively. "We can catch up properly after it concludes."

With that, Nathaniel patted the shoulder of a young man beside him, who was dressed in a sleek, dark grey tailored shirt.

The man appeared to be in his late twenties, exuding a grounded and scholarly aura. He hadn't spoken much while standing beside Nathaniel, but he commanded a quiet, undeniable presence.

"Jude, take this girl inside and show her around."

Nathaniel instructed, "Walk her through a few of the core formularies featured at this exchange."

Bonnie Hayes didn't feign modesty. She knew exactly how rare it was to gain access to a national-level medical summit, let alone get a personal tour from Master Thorne's own protégé.

She turned to look at Quentin Vance.

Quentin seamlessly released her hand, his voice low. "Go ahead. I'll wait for you here."

Bonnie offered him a grateful smile.

She immediately followed Jude Mercer toward the depths of the exhibition hall.

Nathaniel watched her petite figure walk away and was about to say a few more words to Quentin when several familiar heavyweights in the medical field called out to him from nearby.

"Nathaniel! Get over here, everyone is arguing over this formulation and we're waiting for your final say!"

Nathaniel shook his head in amusement and sighed at Quentin. "It's been a long time. We'll find a quiet place to sit and chat later."

Quentin gave a slight nod, his expression calm and stoic. "Go do your work."

As soon as Nathaniel walked away, Sterling Lennox, who had been holding his tongue, rushed over with a look of pure disbelief.

"What is going on? You actually know Master Thorne? And what did he mean when he said you and Bonnie share a deep destiny?"

Sterling and Quentin had only become close in college, so he was entirely in the dark about Quentin's past.

Quentin's expression remained passive, his gaze still fixed on the direction Bonnie had vanished into.

"Master Thorne used to be my mother's private physician."

His voice was deep, laced with an icy detachment that signaled he had no desire to discuss it further.

Sterling raised an eyebrow. He knew Quentin's biological mother had passed away from an illness when he was very young.

Just as he was about to press for more details, he caught sight of two familiar figures walking side by side through the venue entrance.

"Tsk, what is Parrish York doing here?"

Sterling nudged Quentin with his elbow.
