Quentin didn't answer, a cryptic smile hidden in the depths of his eyes.
"You'll see tomorrow."
Bonnie pursed her lips and stopped pressing him.
The next day.
Before leaving, Quentin stood in the entryway. He picked up his car keys, paused, and asked, "Should we take my car or yours?"
Bonnie blurted out almost instantly, "Mine! Definitely mine!"
Quentin arched an eyebrow and casually tossed his keys back onto the console table.
As Bonnie slowly drove her SUV out of the neighborhood, she asked with a hint of helplessness, "Where exactly are we going?"
"Give me your phone."
Quentin held out his hand to her.
Bonnie unlocked it and handed it over without hesitation.
She had no secrets left from Quentin anyway, so she wasn't worried about him snooping.
However, he merely opened the GPS, typed in an address, and snapped the phone into the dashboard mount.
"Follow the directions."
Taking advantage of a red light, Bonnie glanced at the screen.
The destination read: Verdant Range Private Estate.
She didn't ask any further questions and quietly merged onto the highway.
Over an hour later, the car left the stifling heat of the city, turned down a tree-lined avenue, and finally parked in a vast lot.
Bonnie pushed her door open and stepped out, instantly stunned by the view.
Rolling green pastures stretched out to the horizon, the vibrant color almost blinding. The air was crisp with the scent of fresh earth and cut grass, while stunning lakeside villas stood in the distance, their reflections shimmering in the crystal-clear water.
In the massive parking lot, aside from her Wrangler, every other vehicle was a luxury car.
"It's gorgeous here! It's like a massive prairie!" Bonnie couldn't help but marvel.
Quentin walked up beside her, his gaze dropping to the pure delight on her face. "You like the scenery?"
Bonnie nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! I've only ever seen fields this huge online. This is my first time seeing it in person."
