I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 264

Bonnie really wanted to say yes, but Quentin's current expression was far too dangerous.

Her intuition told her that if she said "yes" right now, this man might actually lose his mind right in front of her.

Ultimately, she swallowed her words. "I'm hungry. I'm going to get some breakfast."

But the moment she sat up, Quentin grabbed her wrist, pulling her right back onto the bed.

Quentin rolled over, hovering above her. Bracing his arms on either side of her, he stared down at her.

"Make yourself clear," he said, his voice low and heavy with blatant displeasure. "What do you mean? Are you trying to abandon me after having your way with me?"

Bonnie looked at him helplessly. "I'm seriously hungry. Aren't you? I feel like I could eat an entire elephant right now."

But the more casually she brushed it off, the more the fire in Quentin's chest refused to settle.

She hadn't waited for him last night and went back to her apartment alone.

He texted her, and she ignored it.

Now, the moment she woke up, she wanted to keep her distance.

Staring at her, a certain possibility suddenly dawned on Quentin. His gaze shifted, and his voice dropped lower. "Is it because I walked away with Vivian last night?"

Bonnie's red lips pursed slightly.

Catching that split-second reaction, the dark clouds in Quentin's eyes suddenly cleared a bit.

He stared at her, his voice dropping to a murmur. "Bonnie, are you jealous?"

"No." Bonnie looked away, keeping her voice as steady as possible. "You have your own business to handle. I understand."

Quentin's frown deepened. "Then what exactly is wrong with you? Weren't we fine yesterday?"

Bonnie remained silent for a few seconds. After some thought, she finally said, "I'm probably just hungry. I just want to eat right now."

Quentin was speechless.

He stared at her for a moment, as if trying to gauge how believable that statement was.

Finally, he let go.

Bonnie immediately scrambled out of bed and hurried to the bathroom to wash up.
