I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 89

Seraphina's face was flushed crimson. Her hands hovered in the air, completely at a loss as she stood frozen in place.

"Sir, I... I barely touched you. Please, take slow breaths. Do you feel any better?" Seraphina's voice was laced with panic.

"Better my ass! It hurts like hell!" Arthur rolled on the ground, screaming at the top of his lungs. "Get away from me! Don't touch me! I want the best doctor Davenport has to offer!"

"What is a little rookie like you doing here?! It hurts so much, oh my god..."

His booming voice was so powerful it actually rattled the leaves of the nearby sycamore tree.

Seraphina's eyes instantly filled with tears. She had never been publicly humiliated and screamed at like this in her entire life.

Seeing this, a male medical assistant quickly crouched down to help. "Sir, please calm down. Let me take a look..."

"Look at what?! Get lost! You're all in this together, trying to torture an old man to death!" Arthur slapped the assistant's hand away, being incredibly difficult and aggressive.

The group stood around him, sweating bullets, completely powerless against the unreasonable old man.

Seraphina sniffled, looking at Parrish with red, teary eyes. "Parrish, maybe... we should call an ambulance. I really can't treat him like this."

Parrish looked down at the writhing man and pulled out his phone. "I'll call the hospital right now."

Standing in the crowd, Bonnie watched the entire farce, thoroughly disgusted.

An allegedly top-tier medical graduate couldn't even tell the difference between a real medical emergency and an actor.

This old man had lungs of steel, a healthy flush to his cheeks, and the slap he had just delivered was stronger than anyone else's. He wasn't dying; he was throwing a tantrum.

Wasting emergency medical resources like this was utterly pathetic.

Unable to stand it any longer, Bonnie stepped forward.

"Bonnie, what are you doing?!" Parrish barked sharply.

Bonnie ignored him. She dropped into a crouch and accurately seized Arthur's wildly flailing wrist.

Pressing her thumb down hard, she dug directly into the pressure points on his inner wrist and yanked upward.

"Ahhh!" Arthur unleashed a truly agonizing, spine-chilling scream.

"Sir, if you keep throwing this tantrum, the paramedics will have no choice but to inject you with a heavy sedative when they arrive."

"The needle is massive. They'll jam it straight into your thigh, and with your frail bones, you'll be bedridden for weeks."

Arthur met Bonnie's dark, mocking eyes, and for some reason, a violent shudder racked his entire body.
